Clarification on last night's offside decision: the final decision is that the ball was not deliberately played by the defender so offside, gaining an advantage against Bouanga. Sieb was not called for an offside offense for interfering with an opponent. #LAFCvLA

The debate comes down to whether the fact he had to take it off the bounce makes a difference. Did he still have "time to coordinate [his] body movement," or was this "a movement that achieved limited contact/control?" What does football expect in the *professional* game, specifically?

Anti-trans bigots are coming to NWSL games looking to provoke violence or other incidents that could go viral. This is the back-up plan: harass and endanger anyone who stands up to them. NWSL is going to have to contend with this. Kicking the can down the road will put too many fans at risk.

Took a look at the Ben Olsen send off. It looks like a YC for dissent followed by a straight RC for something he said to the 4th official based on what was visible on the broadcast. I would need eyes in the stadium to confirm. Broadcast said second yellow, but I didn't see the yellow out.

Really bad awareness/marking, but IFKs inside the penalty area just seem to confuse the heck out of everyone more often than not, particularly when the ball is <10 yards from the goal line (although not the case here).
