Happy 60 years, Star Trek! During my school years my alarm clock was a model of the Enterprise D that woke you up by shouting at you in Klingon. A warrior’s alarm clock.

I got my hopes up way too high.

What a treat this was, although the talk backstage was mostly about the disconnect between the obvious enthusiasm in the crowd versus broadcasters’ total lack of interest in commissioning and supporting scripted comedy. Have a piece of the pie, you dummies! 🤷🏼‍♂️
