i never liked deception/lying style party games (like among us) because i spend too much energy lying to my boss or family for me to want to do it in a discord call as well

Art tip: don't share everything you draw. Draw things you never intend to show anyone. Your brain needs time to just exist in a state that's not about performing for strangers. This used to be the normal way to exist before social media poisoned us.

if an art tutorial is more fixated on telling you what *not* to do than what they recommend you should do then its a sign to be skeptical of the tutorial

one big pet peeve i have is when people *only* become more critical of someone's creative works after the person who created them becomes disliked. regardless of whoever is popping up in your mind it feels revealing of an underlying attitude that critique is something to weaponize against someone

ive been compiling a bunch of drawings i saved a very long time ago (2020-2022) into one place and its so cool to notice how much the people i follow have gotten even better since then 🥺

yall remember… companies dont make art, people do. there is no disney art, there is no unreal or tencent art. they create a wrapper around someone else’s art. find out who makes the stuff you love

imo one of the most underrated part of video game graphics is the readability and expression/weight in the animations. A lot of games with very antiquated visuals can still hold up remarkably well if the animators are experienced

they gave grace in re9 the most angelic hair ever rendered in a video game and then still tried to tell me “first person is default for grace its scarier 🤓” in the menu

it bothers me how in games where youre supposed to be strategic and plan routes and manage inventories the hunger bar will punish you essentially just for ever stopping to think/sort your 5 million chests because theyre still glued to the minecraft storage system
