Peadar fuckin’ Tóibín
Long before pumpkins became the Halloween tradition, people in Ireland carved turnips into spooky faces to ward off wandering spirits. This wonderful Ghost Turnip is on display at the National Museum of Ireland, Turlough Park, Castlebar, Co. Mayo, and it's guaranteed to stop you in your tracks!
Aontú promising the sun, moon & stars because they know they never have a realistic chance of being in government. For someone with a void where a sense of humour should be, Peadar Tóibín is a deeply unserious politician. Sounds like he’s proposing his version of DOGE. So nothing to go wrong there
Aontú has launched its pre-budget submission which it said is focused on helping families and lowering food and fuel prices
Fucking cowards. It’s bad enough they’re liars, incompetent and bone idle, but the absolute fucking cowardice of that lot. Aren’t public representatives supposed to represent the public? Away t’fuck to an Ed Sheeran concert you useless cunts.

I just signed the petition to #stopthegame - will you add your name too? No to a change of venue. No to forcing players to play a game they don't want to play. No to sportswashing. No to bending for genocidal murderers. my.uplift.ie/petitions/pe... @uplift.ie
Does Mr. Burns not get a pain in his hole from all the fences he sits on?
Asked if he thought Trump's decision to ban a number of news outlets from the White House was anti-democratic or authoritarian, Taoiseach Micheál Martin said he was "not going to embroil myself in that particular issue at this particular point in time." jrnl.ie/7170059t
This is a great idea. It’s shite that it’s needed but as long as there are victims in crime, they should always be prioritised.
Explained: UK Government creating specialist courts for serious sexual offences For many rape survivors, these courts will be welcome, along with hope that their own day in court could come sooner, writes Amelia Jenne. Read our latest newsletter:
My opinion of the lad was pretty low before this whole affair began and yet he’s managing to plunge to new depths. He’s not just complicit, he’s a colluder.
Ed Sheeran has released a statement on Macklemore being removed from his tour for speaking up for Palestine: “I am not complicit. […] Just because I choose not to speak publicly, it doesn't mean I don't have [my own opinions], and it doesn't mean I don't care.”
I don’t get it. Episode 1 was enough for me to switch off. The protagonist was really whiny and annoying. I also didn’t find it funny.
Quirky horror series “Widow’s Bay” cleaned up at Monday’s Emmys, setting a new record for the most awards won by a comedy in a single year, as gritty hospital show “The Pitt” won again for best drama. jrnl.ie/7162878
Not in, but beside the blue badge space. No blue badge. Selfish cunt. I’ve raised the issue with this Lidl store several times (my wife is a blue badge user). They’ve done absolutely nothing, so a shaming on the internet it’ll have to be @yplac.bsky.social #spéirgorm
It’s five years since these absolute dickheads came into our lives. Love them to bits. #dogs #dogsofbluesky #dogsofireland #spéirgorm #adoptdontshop
Any excuse.

As long as I can remember, Richmond Road has not been fit for purpose as a driver or pedestrian (went to school on Gracepark Road and later walked every day from Harts Corner to Fairview just to get my bus to college, often carrying an A0 portfolio case, so I know!)
Residents of Drumcondra's Richmond Road closed their road to traffic for an hour this morning in protest against what they say is the city council's inaction to tackle the high volumes of traffic that transit the road, and the issues that accompany this jrnl.ie/7128252

Well at least this article made mention of his being a groomer, albeit fleetingly and in passing
Glen Hansard, who died this morning, was a household name in Ireland for almost his entire adult life. He'd been a recognisable figure ever since the cinema release of The Commitments back in 1991, playing the young, pony-tailed guitarist Outspan Foster in the movie. jrnl.ie/7116767
