For #TolkienTrewsday theme of "queens", we had to go with former Queen of Denmark Margrethe II, who once sent her own illustrations to Tolkien under the pseudonym Ingahild Grathmer, and got a praise from him. Her illustration, redrawn by Eric Fraser, appeared in the Danish version of LotR.

Wonderful images coming out of Santa Anita Racetrack today.

Just started Yuru Camp season 2! As expected, it’s still so cozy and calming.

The Dark wizard looked at Gandalf longingly and said "why dont you come live with me in Rhûn?" Gandalf didnt reply "You don't want to be with me?" The dark wizard cried "I do, but..." "What is it then?" Gandalf sighed, "I dont like sand. Its course and rough and irritating and it gets everywhere"

‘In the house of Elrond, and it is ten o’clock in the morning,’ said a voice. ‘It is the morning of October the twenty-fourth, if you want to know.’ (It’s actually past 10 in the evening in my part of the world, but it’d be a waste not to post this.) #Tolkien #Gandalf #Art #イラスト

So my mother and older brother just got back from a trip to South America and eyy they got me a Spanish Hobbit! Kinda forgot that Bilbo’s name is translated as ‘Bilbo Bolsón’ here.

#Tolkientober Day 23: Dancing Bilbo joins in on the fun of the bears of Wilderland as they dance from dark to dawn.

I read a lot of books. Managed to finish all of Dan Brown’s Robert Langdon books that were released up until that point (except Origin), then I decided to pick up a book we had that was collecting dust called The Hobbit. 2021 was then spent obsessing over Tolkien’s Middle Earth.

I finally saw the scene!

Just found out that I completely forgot to export my recent illustration to my phone, so now I have to wait until I get back home later in the afternoon until I can post it. You’ve gotta be kidding me…

After a week or so working hard on my thesis RRL, I decided to treat myself today to two MtG x Hobbit cards I’ve always wanted!

#Tolkientober Day 17: Siblings During his stay in Rivendell, Bilbo learns much about Númenor’s first king Elros Tar-Minyatur. …perhaps a bit too much considering how much his brother Elrond gushes about him!

2026.10.14 Today would have been the 99th birthday of the late great Sir Roger Moore, a true gentleman and a phenomenal actor best known for portraying James Bond. Happy (heavenly) birthday, Sir Roger!! 🎂🎉🥳 Nobody did it better than you. #SirRogerMoore #RogerMoore #JamesBond #Art #イラスト

Managed to finish 85% of my thesis RRL (it’s more like 90% really, but I’m being conservative), so I’m feeling good about myself! Time to relax and de-stress with Yuru Camp episode 3! Goodnight, Tri-State Area!

I’m just gonna leave this here. hoshitsukiyo.com/tool/game-ch...

Did I order curry udon for dinner just because I saw Rin and Nadeshiko eat curry noodles in Yuru Camp episode 1? Yes.

Just started watching Yuru Camp last night and oh my goodness, it’s so cute and calming! It’s genuinely the perfect de-stressor for me after a long day (and working on my thesis), so it’s the perfect anime to watch before going to sleep.

Watched Gene Deitch’s animated Hobbit last night, and I think I found the first ever Middle Earth adaptation I didn’t like. I don’t understand how people can say that Rings of Power supposedly bastardizes Tolkien’s works when this exists.
