Unintentional dickhead. Probably wishing he was on a roller coaster. he/him

I've tried this. It always turns into an exercise of "how many hours will a month's supply of KitKats last?"

No-one ever talks about stockpiling the fun stuff. Like if I’m in a situation where I need to access an emergency stockpile I want a sweet treat to perk me up do you know what I mean. Where are the bourbon biscuits.

Once more we enter the season of bandwagon-jumping ads. 'You'll be TERRIFIED by how cheap these socks are!' 'These deals will to make you rouse the dead from their graves and tell them to buy a sofa!' 'Order pizza or we'll fucking kill you with an axe!'

My memory right now... Finish my cup of tea and go down to get another one. Forget, go to the loo, and come back upstairs. Realise what I've forgotten, go back down, get an apple, come back up. Realise that I've forgotten again, go back down, check on laundry, come back up. Finally got one.

Turns out that if you’re prepared, it’s fine, but also that buyers don’t really come out in poor weather.

I always imagined winning one of those “year’s supply of chocolate” competitions and then finding it was about 3 boxes of KitKats, and being disappointed that I could polish them off in less than a week.

My left ear is doing a weird thing where it's randomly made an inside noise like a cat purring a few times this evening.

I shouldn't read the comments under things. Saw a video of two veteran comedy producers ranking sketch shows, and the first comment was some arsehole complaining that French & Saunders (the only all-female show) and Goodness Gracious Me didn't deserve a rank and were just there because of "woke" 🙄

(Literally everything else on the list was either completely or majority cis white men, mostly Oxbridge, by the way)

Ew. Got some shitty Reform propaganda through the letterbox. No thanks. Actually not even "no thanks". More "go fuck yourself very hard with a cactus laced with everything at the top end of the Scoville scale.

Took forever to leave as they were all using the same set of doors, which half of them are now stood next to rather than moving 20 metres down the train to get a seat

The NHS Guidance on trans people in hospital will protect zero women but will badly harm trans people. What a hateful disgrace and will be remembered by future generations as a stain on us all.

Has someone created a handy "why does my computer keep waking up even when I told it to sleep?" utility? And if not, why not?

Catching up on Bake Off. The usual bread week thing of "you haven't proved/baked it long enough" when they're trying to make the damn thing in about 20 minutes.

Unhelpfully I smashed my big toe into a wall this morning (damn badly-lit hotel rooms with steps in unusual places) so that’s fun.

Somehow my back hated the seats in the BA A320 I came home in much more than it hated the outbound Ryanair ones.

Unhelpfully, the TfL journey planner completely hallucinated a bus route, so while trying to get to the airport this morning I turned up for a non existent service.

Me as a teenager: wow, it'd be really cool to have a job where you get to travel! Me as a jaded, knackered, 40-something: ah crap, I've got to get up at stupid o'clock in the morning to fly to [country] for 2 days of very dull meetings.

I don't know how Channel 4 are so short of cash when each online episode of Sleb Pottery Throwdown has about 12 ad breaks each of about 15 minutes.

Cut cut cut cut. Every single national asset seems to be in a constant cycle of cuts. How is it that we were able to afford to have useful things back in the day, yet with supposed modern efficiencies, we can't? (rhetorical question, I don't need explanations, it's just very frustrating to see)

I really want to love @qobuz.com but the search just doesn't work at all. Search for "Doctor Worm". None of the results are the well-known TMBG song. OK, so I search "Doctor Worm They Might Be Giants" Somehow the results are worse.

"By using AI, tasks like essays that used to take hours can be completed in minutes!" Sure, like how if I arrive at the gym and immediately go for a shower, my workout is done in record time. And if I throw my sandwiches straight in the bin, I can finish my lunch in under 10 seconds.

What I really love is having a 5.45am alarm, but waking up at 2.30am and not being able to get back to sleep...

Fibre broadband contract is up this month so doing some comparisons, but I've never heard of half the brands it's throwing up now.

Sheffield! This is Sunday. My award losing Edinburgh fringe 4* comedy lecture about pettiness with @andrewoneillcomedy.bsky.social + Hannah Braggins at the civilised time of 4pm. Say QUACKS - well, write it in the discount box but also, why not say it out loud - and tix may even be free?🎫

Fucking hell, the number of one-word name + emoji fake pornbot accounts that have tried following me today has been ridiculous.

Apple: you need to log into your Apple ID to do this. Me: ok... *does this* Apple: for security, we need you to enter a code from one of your devices. Also Apple, on the exact same device: Your code is 1234. Apple, still same device: great, you passed! Still Apple: ALERT! Someone logged in!

BBC2 is fucking with me today. I like to take my lunch break around 12.45 so I can watch the only interesting bit of Bargain Hunt (the auction, where the thing they spent £200 on sells for a fiver), and then switch over to Impossible on BBC2. Today? Unbeatable (meh), and then Politics fucking Live
