Where are we going, and why am I in this hand basket?

Thinking of the time I called the fire department because I thought I had a gas leak at my house. They came and told me they thought it was a problem with my Tesla’s battery. I called the gas company; they found it was a gas leak from my furnace. Amazing the lengths people will go to follow bias.

When are they going to bring back intermissions? Any movie over 2.5 hours should have one. Audience wins, theater wins. This could heal our broken world.

Never gonna get over the hot take of, “Take the measles vaccine, since every medical professional recommends it? Naw, I’m gonna go with why a Brady Bunch episode did.” I mean, honestly.

“Doesn’t the weather seem weird? It feels hotter than it should be.” No, it doesn’t seem weird. I’m in my forties and scientists have been literally predicting heat, storms, floods, and wildfires since I was in elementary school. It just seems sad that so many don’t want to try to fix it.

“This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle. Power concedes nothing without a demand. It never did and it never will" -Frederick Douglass 2/2

"If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters.” 1/2

I know our government isn’t addressing anything at all of substance right now, but the AI jobs disaster is going to be hitting us like a freight train. It’s already started. And there really isn’t enough conversation about it in society, let alone on Capitol Hill.

My city has started bussing out homeless people. Wild to me that people seem to think “homeless” is like a human species that shows up, and not an indicator of lack of social nets, healthcare, and rampant income inequality. That’s also why there were so many during the Great Depression, guys.

Season 3, Episode 4 of Stranger Things quotes one of my favorite movies of all time, and I don't think it gets enough credit for that. "It's fascinating what 20 dollars will get you at the county recorder's office." The number changed from 50 bucks, but it's still great.

I am so tired of seeing the fake faces of the fake Barbie dolls that work in the Trump administration. It’s just frustrating on such a deep level, that nearly every one of them seems to have been chosen for Mar-A-Lago face, extensions, and blind loyalty.

Wild seeing the mental leaps the brainwashed are having about their fellow Americans protesting in the millions. Take these ideas, paired unironically side by side: 1. Get a job! 2. They’re all getting paid for this.

I really miss the times where billionaires felt like they had to contribute to their communities and build libraries and hospitals. Now they just want to remove them.

If there’s one thing I think today’s absolute horror show of an event proved unequivocally, it’s that the argument of “women are too emotional to govern” is a huge lie. That was the biggest emotional temper tantrum I can remember seeing on the world stage. Can we end this nightmare yet?

Your outie believes the government when they say they are cutting programs that help average people because they are worried about the deficit, and then adds 4.2 trillion in tax cuts for the rich.

I know it’s en vogue to hate on CNN these days, but I love that Anderson Cooper snapped and called a Trump foot soldier a d*ck live on air. Somebody’s saying it.

“When I win, I will immediately bring prices down, starting on Day One,” - Trump Any word on what day one is supposed to be? I thought it was inauguration, buttttt.....

Having a bunch of edgelord code kiddies doing “financial audits” makes as much sense as having accountants code your app. They aren’t doing what they claim they’re doing.

Noticing a weird thing. Lately, I've had people argue with me about current events. I share a politician has posted as official communications, and the person won't accept that as evidence. It's direct from the horse's mouth, and they won't accept it. They won't say what they WOULD accept, either.

Absolutely agree! I don’t care how much he claims they are “wunderkind”.

Hi, I’ve been a software developer for 30 years, including in very large IT projects. Everything about “DOGE” and a bunch of Hitlerjugend walking into a data center and optimizing a code base and data grown over 70 years in a few days is complete bullshit on its nose. Sincerely, Thomas

I’m just saying, if we are fighting two cults of personality (dumb as they are), I think we could get someone more charismatic out there than Schumer. He’s a wet sock.

Yep. This is what helped us get here.

I see more criticism here of Democrats in Congress than I do condemnation of Republicans. And yet it is the GOP who are enabling Trump. It tells me a lot when I see you regularly bash our side but say nothing, ever, about the other. Reflect on your choices. You may be helping the fascists.

“And when you’re a star they let you do it. You can do anything. Grab them by the p****. You can do anything.” We are seeing what it looks like when it happens to a nation now.

Totally wild that people are buying that Elon Musk can accurately audit agencies he’s never even set foot in before, in a couple hours with some teenage thugs. I mean I know, cocaine is a hell of a drug, but come on.

How long, once all the feds who get fired/take the bad buyout deal, b4 the oligarchs come in & rehire those positions as contractors, to "privatize" government & they can scrape 2/3 of the pay to those individuals, making it more expensive for the taxpayers but allowing more middlemen to get richer?

"Women are too emotional to be president" bleat the people who voted for the rutabaga currently making his presidency a revenge tour aimed at people who hurt his feelings.
