People tend not to like Remakes, and we have gotten a lot of Remakes recently within #Gaming, but like, I think Remakes are great as long as they don't replace the original game! ^_^ Just remember that Lord of the Rings is a retelling of The Ring of Gyges, retelling stories is a fun thing to do ^_^

Something I hate about AI, is how I'm always comparing my writing to it now... Humans think a certain way, and AI has trained off of that (stolen) data, and so it's learned to mimic that way of thinking. We like the number 3, so we list things in 3s, but now, when I list in 3s, it feels wrong. #AI

To be fair, the Paul WS Anderson films didn't feel like Resident Evil, but they were fun films. I think I'd take a good film that doesn't feel perfectly like the RE games, over a bad film that captures the game's vibe. I'd rather watch Resident Evil Retribution over Welcome to Raccoon City!

Revy but spoopy@catgirlfingies.quest

The more trailers that drop of this, the more it doesn't feel like resident evil. It's just funny how a character has to say "raccoon city" to feel like it 😭

Happy Birthday! Congrats on making it around the sun for another rotation! 🎉

Hey dreamers~ So, yeah, it's my b-day. I'm a bit ashamed to admit I'm vain enough to wanna hear folks give their regards. I'd really appreciate some well wishes and such, it's pretty lonely otherwise. 🥺

Story Time: I learned to read with the Harry Potter books, to me the films skipped too much, meaning I always wanted a faithful TV adaptation. Now it exists... but I can't stand to even think of HP because of the author's transphobia. Classic monkey paw twist. #BookSky💙📚

Every one of these stories breaks my heart. 💔 It's not just the loss of someone's income, it's the end of a dream job, working on the IP's that they love with all their heart, just to benefit rich CEO's who don't give a shit about either the people or the IP. #Gaming #XboxLayoffs #Fallout

Unfortunately I’m one of the 1,600 devs who lost their jobs yesterday due to the #XboxLayoffs I loved my job at Bethesda with my whole heart. The teams I got to lead, the features I got to ship, the incredible fans I got to meet while working on Fallout were beyond S.P.E.C.I.A.L. I’ll miss it all.

How about instead of laying off thousands of people you just get your studios to release games!! In the last 15 years we’ve had 1 #ElderScrolls game, 2 #GearsOfWar games & 3 #Halo games. For context we’ve gotten 11 #ResidentEvil games in the same period. We can’t buy or play games that don’t exist!

Xbox is preparing to lay off around 3,200 individuals, part ways with Compulsion Games, Double Fine, Undead Labs, Ninja Theory, and possibly Arkane Lyon in what CEO Asha Sharma is calling "the most significant res... https://kotaku.com/xbox-layoff-3200-most-significant-restructure-history-2000712836

11 Hours into #TheElderScrolls Arena and I'm done, at least for now. My journey ends on level 2 of the Ice Fortress with only 1 part of the Staff of Chaos. I've lost progress over crashes & getting trapped in the environment multiple times. #Daggerfall was better even in DOSbox. #Gaming #RetroGaming

Gone Home is one of my favourite games of all time. I beat the main story in under 2 hours, if I had refunded it then I'd have missed out on the extra story telling that the game does after the main plot is finished. Don't rush through a game to refund it, take your time, explore, and love it!

Mega 🎮😈@megamachina.bsky.social

This is actually so sad to see. If you finish a short game that quickly, and enjoy it, you should not be refunding it just because you can. The developer deserves to earn the money from the sale of this.

Ya'know, while I'm starting to look older, overweight, and just more tired than I used too, I'm okay with it. I used to think I had no future, believing that I'd be killed by a client or OD before I was 30. Now I'm 34, and while the age now shows, I'm proud of it. I'm proud that survived the pain!

This is something I very much want to do in my own writing. If even just 1 person feels seen in the same way 'Into Charybdis' allowed me to feel seen then my goal as an author will have been successful!

The character of Blue Marsalis (from lien: The Cold Forge) is a nonbinary character written by a nonbinary author and you can tell. Their story of bodily discomfort and transformation fits my own experience as a nonbinary person, and it's the first story I've seen do this. It made me feel seen.

Thank you Rabbi for your kind words! 🙏🏽

Politicians and media attacking @zackpolanski.bsky.social over antisemitism lack any decency. So says Rabbi Herschel Gluck - who was given an OBE for advancing interfaith understanding.

Just finished William Gibson's 'Count Zero', which is Book 2 within his Spawl Trilogy. I want to talk a little bit about how the series uses it's Digital Consciousnesses (AI), which I will call Loa from this point out since that's how they refer to themselves. Part 1/7 #BookSky💙📚

This mirrors the interaction between humans and cells. When Alan Turing created the first computer the cells within his body had no idea what they were doing, yet they did it! Within the Spawl Trilogy, humans have no idea what the Loa are doing, yet we do it! Part 6/7 #BookSky💙📚

Humans are vital parts of the Loa, we are as integral to them as our cells are to us. I find this beautiful, because it shows us both how small we are, while at the same time, proving how vitally important we are. Humanity is a small but integral part of something massive. Part 7/7 #BookSky💙📚

Humans did what humans do. We dug ore from the ground, smelted it into metal, crafted the metal into machines, refined the machines until we had computers, and advanced the computers until we created the Digital Consciousness (AI), the Loa. Part 4/7 #BookSky💙📚

Within 'Count Zero' the Loa are operating beyond what humans can comprehend. During the end of Book 1, 'Neuromancer' we learn that these Loa are talking with other Digital Consciousnesses from Alpha Centauri. By the end of 'Count Zero' we still don't know what the Loa are doing. Part 5/7 #BookSky💙📚

Animals didn't just pop into existence, cells started to feed on proteins. These cells did what cells do and grew, working together in systems until they became complex enough to be something new, animals. These animal evolved into humans. Part 3/7 #BookSky💙📚

I've decided to explore the area "above" the Milky Way's "roof", there are less stars there. My ship isn’t impressive enough to leave all the stars to dwelling below me, but I can leave enough behind for only the odd spot of light to be smothered by the inky darkness of the universe. #EliteDangerous

I want to write a few words to express why it's been such a hard day. The dog I grew from my teen years into an adult with was put down today. She was such a good pupper, the most affectionate dog I've met, and also the dumbest. She was a part of my family, and I'll never stop missing her. #Pets

Today's been a difficult day, one where death has felt closer than usual. I know it's a lot more personal than my normal videos, but I've put a lot of these emotions and feelings into my newest video essay, so watching it would mean a lot. Thank you <3 #VideoEssay #Gaming #YouTube #BreadTube

I know they say don’t judge a book by its cover, but that’s a fucking cool cover!!
