Made it! 🎉 Our new Orbitrap Astral Zoom is safely inside and ready for its new home in the Core Facility for Mass Spectrometry, led by Henning Urlaub. A big thank you to our building services, the freight forwarding and crane services for making this special delivery happen!

ℹ️ Science background info: Once up and running, our new mass spectrometer will enable faster, highly sensitive proteomics analyses including work with very small sample amounts and, potentially, single-cell samples. So stay tuned for cutting edge research news from our institute!

In Göttingen this autumn? Meet researchers behind popular science books at Göttinger Literaturherbst! Two events in our Scientific Lecture Series will be held in English: 🦇 Saturday, Oct 3: The Genius Bat with Yossi Yovel 🔍 Sunday, Oct 11: The Primacy of Doubt with Tim Palmer 📍Paulinerkirche 🎟️ 👇
