Washington Post fires their last remaining Black opinion writer @karenattiah.bsky.social over the most benign comments in the aftermath of Charlie Kirk's murder... Meanwhile Fox still has Brian Kilmeade who casually said all homeless people should be killed. Its all unfair & unbalanced. Wake up.

“A real president doesn’t push an angry, hateful, divisive message in the aftermath of a political assassination…pit American against American…incite violence…prioritize silencing dissent and seeking retribution…prefer dictatorship over democracy.” www.americaamerica.news/p/what-a-rea...

americaamerica.newsWhat a Real President Doesn't DoYes, values and principles still matter. Let's list them to help make sure that violence and hate don't win.

For the record. My posts were not even about Kirk directly, but about America's apathy towards political violence, and the coddling of white male shooters and hate peddlers. I was fired because I mentioned race: white men and violence-- that was my "gross misconduct."

Fox News host, Brian Kilmeade, calls for the extermination of homeless people. But it’s the liberals that are stoking political violence?! They’re trying to silence the truth-tellers. Don’t let them. Loudly and relentlessly call out their hypocrisy. Be mad. Be outraged. Demand accountability.

Pointing out Charlie Kirk's hate speech is not hate speech. It's objective reporting. Apologize to Matthew Dowd and rehire him. A full-throated embrace of genocide is hate speech – beyond all measure. Fire Brian Kilmeade. Immediately.

I know these “interviews” with Justice Barrett are carefully scripted. But if she’s going to keeping urging Americans to “read the opinions,” and not just commentary, it sure would be nice if someone would ask her what we should do when—as is so often the case these days—there’s no opinion to read…

Just to be clear: Brian Kilmeade *did not* endorse euthanizing homeless people. He advocated MURDERING over 700,000 of them. And on a network that has been *beside itself* over the murder of just one man this week.

In a sane world, Fox host Brian Kilmeade would be fired and shunned for his depraved comments that homeless people should be euthanized. That’s sick (and deeply ignorant), but sicker still is that it’s tolerated.

The murders of Charlie Kirk and Minnesota state representative Melissa Hortman are part of a dangerous rise in political violence. We cannot accept this as the norm. We must do whatever we can to reduce the anger and hate that are consuming and destroying so much of the country.

It’s not normal that Republicans can lie and spew any insults on any platform or media outlet and get away with it, whereas Democrats like Matthew Dowd get fired for being “insensitive“ while telling the absolute truth. This is a repulsive double standard.

The President of the United States hoped the assassin of Charlie Kirk would be someone thru whom he could foment civil war so that we would forget about him being a child rapist. I haven’t forgotten. You haven’t forgotten. Please call your reps: 202-224-3121 #ReleaseTheEpsteinFiles

Rather than issue a retraction after their shoddy reporting led to an onslaught of attacks by MAGA against the transgender community The WSJ simply “updated” the story after it was revealed that Tyler Robinson-Charlie Kirk’s killer-did NOT engrave transgender symbols on his ammunition

Erin Reed@erininthemorning.com

1. In the immediate aftermath of Charlie Kirk's shooting, the WSJ laundered claims that "transgender symbols" were found with the shooter's gun. Now, a press conference reveals that NO such symbols were found. WSJ owes a full retraction and apology. Subscribe to support our journalism.

New Mexico's economy is a fraction of the size of New York City's. If they can enact universal childcare — and relieve working families of a crushing cost burden — surely we can too. It's just a question of political will.
