For those of you looking to avoid the news today, check out @mutesky.app, which mutes political and distressing keywords. Temporarily set it to Complete filtering which adds about 1500 mute keywords. Performance will be impacted a bit but worth it. After the hubbub, set it back to Minimal.

So many updates today! Everything now works better and faster. We also have new keywords available too. You can even add your own. It seems like BlueSky handles mutes a bit better too, so you can pile on more than 200 now. Check it out 🥳

Shoutout to OpenAI's new Sol model. It really is exceptional at front-end work. I even used it to update the companion Google Chrome Extension called Calm the Chaos. It parses much quicker now.

Note that muting more than ~200 keywords can slow down Bluesky. It’s worth it today to max out then later in the week, you can scale back to minimal (hopefully).
