I've been playing that #DeathStranding. It hit me why it feels a bit strange, dreamlike. The whole thing is a metaphor, that I'm pretty sure @HIDEO_KOJIMA_EN built the whole game upon. It's a game about the human condition, the self, life. Bear with me.

Are you wondering if there is a movie, where Jeff Goldblum turns into a fly? The answer is, yes there is!

This post is unavailable.

It’s that he’s flattened 1/3 of the White House, that’s probably hit me hardest. That’s not coming back. And in a way, it also feels like that America is not coming back.

If only there was some sort of cheap, quick to launch, fast flying kind of sky-eye we could use to follow or bring down these drones. I guess we’ll just have to stand on the ground and observe them until this technology is invented. www.svt.se/nyheter/utri... #NATO

Google has successfully reinvented the mainframe. You can tinker for free, so long as it's quick. $25 for a small amount of time-sharing. $350 for the largest allocation. Presumably later we flip back to home computing.

Some Fieldgame beta thoughts. Love that kits are back, and are only four, with clearly defined roles. They’re basically the ones we introduced in 2142. They’re really good for letting you know how to play, and help support teamplay. #Battlefield #BF6

An aspect of Battlefield I enjoy most, is the ability to somewhat set your own pace. If you fancy being a helicopter bus driver, you could do that. Or running through map edge forests dropping claymore and looking for snipers, you could do that. #BF6 has kinda one setting, constantly intense.

Squad play is a bit opaque to me. Is there still a squad leader placing orders? I guess understanding this is how you earn best squad. I’ve found it quite tricky to successfully highlight an objective and L1 an order in. I see some objectives with orange orders on, are they from other squads?

Theres not much feedback for using L1. Trying to teamplay and drop spots for others is quite tricky, would be nice to hear my radio callout for a successful spot. I’ve heard VO for sniper spotted, but didn’t see anything on the minimap to show me where. I like the radio, is an great social tool.

I like the new Best Squad EOR thing. Although it does leave me curious what the differences are between my squad and the best one. It would be nice if there was a way to see what they were doing that was better, so that I might adjust my play to compete for that accolade.

Tried some Assault today. Feels like its core is having more rock, paper, scissor cards to play. Tried a long range main, with backup fast fire close. It sort of worked. With the game pace, and the weapon-ready times, it was hard to be holding the right tool at the right time. Lots of luck needed.

TTK feels ballpark right. When I’m shooting people, I’d like them to go down faster, when they’re shooting me it’s over too quickly. Is kinda where you’d want to be. Thanking people for reviving me, doesn’t seem to trigger / prioritise my shout. A small thing, but adds a lot to the social side.

Ahh! So everyone can do the drag-revive adrenaline shot thing. It’s just that Support can do it faster, and have The Magic Paddles. I like that. Makes a lot of sense for teamplay, and the game feel more forgiving overall. Kinda confusing that the man-down UI says “Nearby Medics” though.

This conquest map feels a bit strange. Like it's trying to feel large, but is kinda small. It's got like 6-7 control points, but they're sorta on top of each other. Driving is like 90% navigating obstruction. There's a definite infantry focus here, everything is runnable-between.

Maybe the strange stems from the snowline. It's got the majestic snowy vista backdrop, for a sense of scale. The backdrop reads like the snowline is below you. But the combat area itself is quite dusty and brown. It feels strange there is no snow up here. Maybe AAA snow got scoped out. It's hard.

Loving the scent of Destiny on the weapon stats display. They really nailed that at Bungie. Instead of a load of technical blah blah, it’s really easy to see which weapon supports my play style, and how each upgrade adjusts that. Now you can make a goal, and customise your way towards it.

I like being a medic. I’m looking for an assault rifle that hits hard and accurately at range. So I can ignore higher fire rates and hip fire, and see if I can grow the stats I like with customisations. It’s an important little mini game, one I enjoyed in Destiny. Looks like I’ll enjoy this too.

I’m liking the any weapon on any kit path. The gentle nudge to gain a slightly better experience if you use a specific type, is probably all you need. The weapon characteristics themselves already have their own rock, paper, scissors built in with effective ranges.

The recon kit benefit, simply needs to be better than the support one, to avoid camping sniper medics. The visibility offered by the recon kits enemy spotting thingy, helps support good times for the sniper more than any self healing.

This is the first #Battlefield in a long time that I’ve felt hype for. Glad they’re back to a relatable fantasy, one that I feel many others share.

That small dot moving left to right is 3I/ATLAS. It's a comet that was discovered on 1 July 2025. It's travelling at 58 km PER SECOND and isn't gravitationally bound to the Sun. Which means you're looking at a comet that formed around another star, passing through the Solar System.

Sometimes I like to ask myself, if this were a single frame from a game, what might the full experience be like? What do you imagine?

I like #DeathStranding. Playing the original I was struck by a thought. Now seems like a good to time to reshare it.

It’s a peak billionaire society. When we’re making machines that can build whole sentences that bloom into great works that articulate the myriad forms of human endeavour. But predicting the words I’m trying to type and will type next on this phone, is simply beyond the bounds of human capacity.
