Peacocking hi-fi porn from Oui magazine, 1977 - is it just me or is there something vaguely "off" about the band photograph, i.e. was Brian pasted in afterwards?

Random archive find: faded TDK FE90 containing the gruppe's December 1993 Middle Class Revolt session: M5, Behind The Counter, Reckoning, and Hey! Student. Taped off the radio in (it says here) January '94. Obsessive-compulsive felt-tip track-listing by Jackson Bollock. #FallFriday

Just arrived: an original unplayed copy of Brigandage's F.Y.M (don't ask) cassette and booklet, scored direct from the band's singer Michelle, to replace my old one that vanished sometime in the '90s - if it was you I lent it to you can keep it, punk.

All this country’s most important people lined up to declare that Boris Johnson was the man of the moment, the PM the country cried out for, when they were required to do it. Trust me: if these clowns are called on to salute Kemi as our disastrously online new fuhrer, they will do it obediently.

The press have decided to reimpose the two party model and unfortunately, that requires “pretending to believe Kemi Badenoch is doing a good job”. Which is pretty bad, given she’s a disastrously online wacko.

It's taken me a few weeks to click with this one - even by KV's usual drowsy standards it's pretty lackadaisical - but I'm on my 4th day of holiday, a bottle of cheapo red grog has been ceremoniously uncorked (er, unscrewed actually), & it's finally beginning to sound great... a slow burner obvs!

I found this old Pastels T-shirt in the back of the wardrobe a few days ago - mid '90s vintage apparently? I bought it at a gig but didn't wear it much at the time because it seemed huge and I felt like I was skulking around in a 1-berth tent. 30-ish years later I've "grown into it", shall we say?

I loved this show when I was a kid - being so young I didn't understand how daring ("bloke living with 2 single women", etc) it was considered at the time, it just looked like a lot of fun.

Today's chazza booty, £2. Released a quarter of a century ago, I finally got 'round to hearing this today. The 4-piece Dr. Byrds line-up races through a 50-minute set of string-bending cosmic country, much rowdier than their records of the period, often flying by the seats of their trews. Dead good!

1. UK water companies lose around 2.9 billion litres of water every single day through leaks in their pipes & distribution networks. 2. This daily loss is equivalent to roughly 1,200 Olympic-sized swimming pools, i.e. 5 times greater than the water saved by a network-wide hosepipe ban. 3. F*ckers.

There was a big stack of old Omni mags at one of the antique/junk shops here yesterday, and I've been thinking about them all night. They weren't cheap (a fiver each) but I reckon I could hammer out a deal if I bought the lot? Such a strange mag, and so rarely spotted out 'n' about nowadays...
