ok rosegarden actually almost works for my midi composition needs. the only thing im somewhat not sure about is, im not sure if rosegarden has a keyjazz mode, and also lacking a piano roll is kind of a pain in the ass

i could still try shit like sunvox midi export but i don't entirely get that either. eh maybe we'll try the weird in browser midi editor too as a test

i still don't entirely quite get the whole midi sound generator situation and it bothers me a little bit. ok i get the basics. there's input ports and output ports. qsynth is an output tool it receives midi orders and converts them into audio based on the nature of the command it receives as input

so there's tracks and there's instruments.

y'know actually it's like very slightly humiliating to know that probably i put up with intolerable shit way longer than most people do. like it's weird right. i flip flop on it all the time. it's like i think it's cool if people think i'm resilient but i don't feel it LOL

cuz i feel like real resilience is being unbothered not just working through it right. or at least being good at washing it off of you. but i'm so bad at that! it sticks to me, just because i get through it doesn't mean i'm not irritable about it all the time... i desire that ability to not care...

my position is very weird because i probably technically have a decent amount of bargaining potential just because literally no one wants to do this job ever but it's also the lowest level they could always shove anyone in regardless of if they suck ass at it until they burn out situation LOL

all you really have to do to take phone calls is be a sociopath or used to dealing with unreasonable people. unfortunately this means i will occasionally go on an annoyed rant about it but you know for me i think of it like it goes in it goes out it stays out of the long-term memory

ive posted this one like 50 times but i really like the scene writing of quint using various mm weapons from canon robot masters and then going anyway he's from an alternate future timeline so he's just gonna start using weapons from weird-ass things you've never seen before now

i actually never connected this mentally that much. he writes a whole mini-arc in the timeline quint is from first featuring a killer robot made entirely for revenge against light, and this is its ability... thinking about it, it's the rockman shadow abilities from rnf2, where he uses a sword lol

ive mentioned i generally like the whole setup with heat man here a ton too part of it is that he spends the entire time not doing fucking ANYTHING even when told. but eventually something happens that does kind of set him off out of nowhere and i like him sighing his way through it

making a robot programmed to be lazy as fuck is such a beautiful idea. like their whole purpose in existence is to work so why would you make one. i love the idea of making your horrible nuclear doomsday weapon have such a personality b/c you absolutely don't want it to be used unless it has to be
