I wanna hear me 2 Chainz rap the following - “All black headphones. That’s Bluetooth. Lucille and George Michael. That’s two Bluth.”

I just asked my robot to `explain [something] to me in englush`, and I'm sad it ignored the typo and dudn't ruply like thus

It makes me so very upset how successful the anti DEI propaganda campaign was, costing qualified people of color their jobs, only to be replaced with the least qualified plastic surguried blond woman the world as ever seen.

Counterargument - ~7! kidding, kidding

that basically explains why AI stuff blows it’s like auto-tune for ideas, like yeah you hit the note but you lose the subtlety, the richness, the soul

It just dawned on me that the Childish Gambino line, "I've got the strap, I've got to carry’em," is exactly what a strap is for: to carry them.

I just set up Hermes on computer on my local network with Tailscale and the ability to talk to it via Telegram. I think I’m in the future, yall. My mind keeps getting blowner and blowner.

i like the idea of will smith being an apex predator for chris rock and only chris rock, like he is the metroid to an x parasite

I saw a clip from a Donald Glover interview where he casually says “culture is just compression of information” and I havent been able to stop thinking about that

You can learn a lot about people’s knowledge and relationship with contemporary music and culture with one simple question: When did you first learn about Pharrell Williams?

Anyone having any album recs? I’m listening to a lot of albums that I’m already familiar with by way of 1 or 2 songs beloved songs, but that I’ve never actually listened to start to finish. Currently listening to Everything So Far by Pinegrove

Specifically, I'm listening to albums. I'm tired of algorithmically generated playlists. It's great to make an actual decision and then sit with the album from start to finish.

I removed TikTok from my phone and now I'm listening to way more music again, and wowwwwww. I LOVE music!

I’m in the locker room in the fitness room in my office building, overhearing a man yell at another man “LOVE IS NOT FINITE. LOVE IS NOT ZERO SUM.”

I still don't get Animal Collective. It sounds like self indulgent noise to me. Animal Collective actively puts me in a bad mood. If members of Animal Collective see this - I'm no one. People whose music tastes I deeply respect love you. Anyone wanna put me on Animal Collective?

The culture is obsessed with old people who used to be hot somehow still being hot. That sounds exhausting. Be old, it’s okay. I think it’s rooted in fear of death. Elizabeth Hurley is still hot at 61!! Maybe we won’t all be dead someday!!

any songwriters out there can provide advice on songwriting organization and routine? I want to write songs, but am behaviorally avoidant. When i do sit down to write, I'll write cool loops and things that I don't ultimately flesh out into full songs.

Folks who actually write full songs on the regular, what do your routines around songwriting look like? I also think I feel a sense of perfectionism around each song, and therefore squeeze too tight for the creative juices to flow, but that's a tangential issue.
