One year ago, Danielle Smith used the notwithstanding clause to stomp on the rights of teachers by sending them back to work. Promises were made to teachers but nothing has changed for the learning environments for students. We can’t keep letting the UCP continue to hurt education in Alberta.

Alberta, you voted to save Canada. Albertans don’t want Danielle Smith’s maga-style gerrymandered map or two tiered American healthcare system. This is un-Canadian.

Calgary-Edgemont stood up for Canada and against division! With more than 13,500 doors knocked your message to me was clear: our community wants to remain part of Canada and protect the rights of our friends, family, and neighbours. I'm so proud of Calgary-Edgemont🍁

October is 2SLGBTQIA+ History Month! 🏳️‍🌈 This month, we celebrate the people, stories, and contributions that have helped make Alberta a more inclusive place. Everyone deserves to feel safe, accepted, and free to be themselves. That’s the Alberta I believe in, and I will always stand up for that.

Last night was the KItchen Party I needed. Still tapping my toes to the @theeastpointers and grateful to Calgary Folkfest for bringing them here for a fantastic and fun concert! ❤️🙏 #KitchenParty #LiveMusic

Today is your last day to vote in the 2026 referendum! We need all proud Canadians to get out and vote to help Save Canada! Help us show Danielle Smith, the UCP and their separatist friends that Alberta belongs in Canada! Go to map.elections.ab.ca to find your nearest polling station.

We are deeply saddened by reports of the incident at CFB Wainwright. Our thoughts are with the brave Canadian Armed Forces members affected, their families loved ones and the broader military community. We are grateful to the emergency personnel responding and supporting those involved.

When asking the UCP about the outcomes and investment in women’s cancer care, the response focused on potential program announcements. Albertans are asking for results, not concepts of a plan. The Alberta NDP has a Future of Healthcare plan. albertandp.ca/healthcare

Such an energizing time at Dalhousie station this morning, handing out coffee and reminding folks to get out to vote to stay in Canada and no to the 9! Love how many folks have already voted. Advance polls are open today and tomorrow, and referendum day is on Monday! Go Vote for Canada! 🇨🇦

Last spring, I asked about cuts to breast cancer screening and prevention. The numbers agree with me, but the Minister said there are no cuts to screening. 🤔 This Breast Health Awareness Month, stand up for a government that will prioritize healthcare prevention tools in the way Albertans need.

1 in 7 Alberta women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, yet only 30% receive surgery within the recommended time frame. Our Future of Health Care plan focuses on shorter waits for diagnostics, specialists and surgery. Albertans deserve timely care. albertandp.ca/healthcare

Advance polls are open now for Danielle Smith and the UCP’s costly referendum. We need to make sure our voices are heard, and the best way to do that (besides voting!) is to make sure your neighbours get out to vote. Volunteer with us to help get out the vote: volunteer.albertandp.ca/cedg/

Spent a morning at the Venvi The Edgemont for having me in for a presentation on the upcoming referendum questions. Danielle Smith and the UCP are blaming immigrants for the problems their government created! Let’s protect all Albertans by saying no to the nine and yes to remain in Canada!

Attention all proud Canadians living in Alberta! Today is the first day of advanced polls to vote in Danielle Smith and the UCP’s costly referendum. You can find your nearest polling station at map.elections.ab.ca Together, we can Save Canada by voting no to the nine and yes to remain in Canada!

Thank you to all the amazing work done by Asian Canadians for a United Canada! They’ve translated information about the referendum into 6 different languages. Including all of the questions, voting plans, and instructions on how to vote by mail. Check out their website at asiancanadiansunited.ca!

October is Women’s History Month, a time to recognize the women who fought for the rights and opportunities we have today. I'm grateful to the women who came before us and those continuing that work today.

The referendum is right around the corner Alberta! Advanced voting runs from October 13-17. October 19 is your last opportunity to vote. You can find your nearest polling station at map.elections.ab.ca Help the @‌ABNDP Save Canada and tell Danielle Smith that Albertans want to remain in Canada.

As families gather, Alberta's future is the subject of serious Thanksgiving debate with the referendum next Monday October 19! This Thanksgiving, as we gather around the table, let's remember what brings us together. Our families. Our province. Our country. @albertandp.ca

Join the @‌albertandp as we fight back against separatism on October 13th for the VOTE to Save Canada Rally! Let’s stand together to show Danielle Smith, the UCP, & their separatist friends that Albertans are proud Canadians and want to remain in Canada. Register at albertandp.ca/events/just-... !

Thrilled that Mountain Goat Books has officially opened their doors across from Calgary Farmers' Market in the NW. Congratulations Myka &David! Love that your local bookstore will “serve the people, nature, and culture” of its local place. #SupportSmallBusiness #SupportLocal #BuyLocal #ReadABook

Appreciated the opportunity to have a discussion about the upcoming referendum questions with the residents and staff at The Phoenician in Dalhousie. These questions are harmful and divisive, particularly towards immigrants! I voted no to the nine and yes to remain in Canada!

500,000 voters have yet to mail their special ballot packages! Please mail your completed package by tomorrow, October 9th, to ensure Elections Alberta receives it by October 16th. I voted no to the nine and option 1 to remain in Canada. Together, we can Save Canada!

Thinking about the challenges Albertan youth are facing, but also about how they come together to face them. During the Winter Olympics, Hawkwood School students showed me how they showed support for our Canadian athletes. So heartwarming to see young people coming together behind the Canadian flag.

Thank you to the Asian Heritage Foundation and Hindu Heritage Society for translating the referendum questions into 6+ languages. Let's vote to remain in Canada and no on the other nine questions. Check out their websites: asianheritageyyc.ca hhs-alberta.org

I am hearing from constituents that not every child was welcomed back to class this fall. Due to UCP government policies, some Alberta students are missing school. This is not acceptable! Every child deserves a fully funded K-12 education. Danielle Smith has no right to deny that to anyone.

So well spoken, Julia. Thank you for your strong words, we all need to be fighting back against this wasteful destruction in Alberta I was so offended by the brochure Immediately sent letter to our MLA to stop with the propaganda I will pass your message on

$4 million spent on this brochure… added to the $200 million referendum price tag. This money could have been spent on public education, healthcare and cost of living. Let’s Save Canada and vote!

Residents in Calgary-Edgemont are angry about the waste of Alberta tax payer dollars ($4 million alone on the UCP brochure). They deserve a government focused on public healthcare, education and affordability measures, not one pandering to separatist friends. savecanada.albertandp.ca

October 5th is World Teacher Day! Thank you for brightening our future, teaching our students. Grateful for all the folks who work in Alberta schools & continue to support education even when it’s in over crowded classrooms & not funded properly. Hope is on the horizon. #AbEb #AbLeg

Fantastic day on the doors with an incredible team! Folks are angry about the wasted money on this referendum & know its distractions from important issues. 🙏to everyone who has already voted &for those who have made their vote plans. Join me on the doors: volunteer.albertandp.ca/cedg/

I am taking mine to my MLA'S office. @ndpjulia.bsky.social ##CalgaryEdgemont Albertans: send a message to your MLA. I would ❤️ 😍 ❤️ to see @albertandp.ca MLAs deliver this trash back to #DanielleSmithIsUnfitToLead

Timothy Caulfield@caulfieldtim.bsky.social

🚨 Got this Alberta UPC propaganda in the mail yesterday. It is mostly anti-immigrant hate-mongering noise. Deeply misleading. Our tax dollars paid for this rage farming? Sum: WTF⁉️ ⚠️ VOTE NO TO THE NINE ⚠️

I look forward to hearing from my constituents. Wonder how many booklets I’ll get? 😬

Gregory@joygregory.bsky.social

I was so angry yesterday. I took a breath and improved what I will give to my MLA @ndpjulia.bsky.social ##CalgaryEdgemont. I encourage others to return this piece of #UCP trash to their @albertandp.ca and #UCP MLAs.

We are very pleased that the southern route pipeline that we’ve been advocating for many months, over Danielle Smith’s objections, is moving forward.

Today is the National Day for Truth &Reconciliation, also known as Orange Shirt Day. For more than 150 years, residential schools separated Indigenous children from their families, their languages, and their cultures. Thousands of children died. All were deprived of a measure of dignity and pride.

That means we have a responsibility to know this history, to support survivors and their families, and to act on the 94 Calls to Action, not just read them.

Survivors and their families are still living with what that system did, and that harm is ongoing. It continues through many of our structures and practices today. We are Treaty people.
