He’s obviously removing all anti-trump leaders ahead of a ‘national emergency’ so they can halt elections and seize permanent control.

For those older than 15, what does "tapped" mean in this context? From the BBC:- "Kit Harington has been tapped to join the highly anticipated Harry Potter TV series as the wizarding world's celebrity-turned-Hogwarts instructor Gilderoy Lockhart, HBO confirmed to the BBC" I genuinely don't know

The last PM to both enter and leave No. 10 as the result of a general election: ❌ Burnham ❌ Starmer ❌ Sunak ❌ Truss ❌ Johnson ❌ May ❌ Cameron ❌ Brown ❌ Blair ❌ Major ❌ Thatcher ❌ Callaghan ❌ Wilson ✅ Heath (1970 - 74) This is not newsworthy. It's just overexcited journos having a circle jerk.

Burnham, again, says no election, telling ITV News "I am not going to call an election, I said outside Downing Street that I would do politics differently, that I would try to bring people together and focus on problem solving rather than point scoring. I am ruling it out right in front of you."

So the allegation of plagiarism in his PhD was investigated and dismissed. It turns out he did run all those marathons. So tell me, precisely, all you online sleuths — what exactly did Jason Arday do wrong? (Apart from being the wrong class and colour of course)

Just had a thought. Farage registered a £9,253 benefit from George Cottrell funding a Belgium trip in April 2024 - before the GE. This is the time that Farage and his allies say he was "not in politics." He declared that, but didn't declare the £5m Harborne gift. Something doesn't add up there...

A #Roman terracotta oil lamp decorated with the image of two gladiators. One is lying defeated on the ground, with his victorious opponent standing above him, shield raised in triumph - waiting for the signal as to whether his fallen foe should live or die? 🏺 #AncientBlueSky #Archaeology

Oh no, Jason Arday found dead!!! I'm genuinely shocked and am deeply sorry for him and all that knew him! I have no idea about the rights and wrongs about the plagiarism accusation, but NOBODY should be pushed to their death by the media, let alone by a relatively minor issue like this!

We just watched a legend written in real time. The fearlessness of Cape Verde is the kind of thing you use to teach your kids about belief in themselves. Goosebumps.

I've become a massive Cape Verde football fan! Extraordinary spirit, strength, teamwork, heart! Sidny Cabral should be given some major national award or other - "Sir Sidny"?

It's interesting how everything people used to proudly call "public" when I was growing up (public parks, public libraries, public schools, public transportation, public television, etc) is suddenly "socialist" now that rich people are spinning it.

Fek! Infertility as a result of semen fertility reduction through the generations is in rapidly increasing. If our grandchildren are created, will they survive to adulthood?

I quite liked Tony Blair back when he won for Labour after many miserable years of Tory hegemony. But he is absolutely, completely *WRONG* now! (ignoring all Iraq related actions) Maybe my support of him back in 1997 was completely ridiculous! He is such a sad man now
