Plugging my kofi again because as of this morning my laptop no longer boots. I've been trying to save for a new one for years but it feels like an uphill battle and I'm trying not to be bitter about it. I miss being able to stream and make videos. ko-fi.com/netbug

Cw alcohol / Yoooo my friend grabbed me this purely based on the can design but it's really good. Maybe I should stop being a coward who only drinks light lagers and the more red ales. 🤤

I spent WAY more time reading writing advice books/articles than I reasonably should with how little actual writing in doing 🤣😭

Tea Witch Friday@teawitch.bsky.social

My toxic author trait is: I get FOMO for book lists and author roundups, SO bummed that I’m not amongst those amazing names…I haven’t actually published my book yet. 😂🫣 What’s yours?

www.shacknews.com/article/1511... Sorry to anyone who enjoyed this game but also GOOD. Fuck Tencent.

The kids are alright.

China’s first AI-generated theatrical film, ‘Sanxingdui: Future Past’, has bombed at their domestic box office, only making $121,000 USD against a budget of $1.5M USD. In contrast, the crudely animated ‘Niu Lai’ made nearly $10M USD against a budget of $200-500 USD.

I hate to be the Debbie Downer on this one, but I think financial effort like this would be better spent supporting future work by ME alumni such as Exodus and funds for laid off game devs. I don't believe any rendition of Mass Effect modern EA would have let come out was ever gonna be that good.

Like I'm the last person to tell people not to put effort into being fans because "something something REEL ISSUES(tm)" but a snapshot that never made it past publisher meddling is not representative of how the final game would have been and I don't want people to end up even more disappointed.

Not to mention how heavily EA already relies on AI... I think it may be time to let Mass Effect, at least by that name, rest in peace. 💔

I FIXED MY PC I FEEL SO SMART OH MY GOD

well "fixed" as in "worked around a broken drive" BUT STILL

I don't even know which voices to point out here, his list of roles was INSANE. Oof. :(

Get out and vote. If you throw away the chance at a slightly better world because neither option is better enough, you don't get to whine when things only keep getting worse. Fight for a better system, but make the most of the one we have too in the meantime. It's not rocket science.

Spent all day trying to fix my computer. Probably figured out what the issue is and might be able to work around it at least for a bit. Will find out tomorrow. Feeling pretty smart for getting this far regardless - wow brain actually somewhat worked today! 🧠

Plaster those "100% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes!" blurbs on every piece of marketing you can find and bump those numbers up even more, let's make this HAPPEN.

(Oh also do it for me specifically because these are my local artists and I'm so fucking proud of them and their work. Like this one is personal. ❤️)

I'VE BEEN THINKING THIS SAME SHIT Caine CHOSE to be a dapper little guy(tm)!

⭐ StarHaloEklypse ⭐@starhaloeklypse.bsky.social

I think I saw someone say this a while ago but forgot abt it and randomly came to this conclusion on my own seperately but: Caine being created as a genderless being and actively chosing masculinity akin to Mettaton and that being a trans reading of his character... is this anything ? 🧵

If online encounters count, I once ran into Cub on MCC Island and took a screenshot together. He has shaken Obama's hand, so that puts me at a loose 2?

To flip some discourse script for a bit: what’s y’all’s Obama number (ie degrees of separation with the former president)? Mine is 3

I'm not saying toxic fandoms don't exist but I am saying the people who make hating those fandoms their whole personality are 10 times more annoying and usually outnumber the actual bad actors they're rewarding with attention.

@sarkyfancypants.bsky.social

Like I'm not immune to the occasional rant about a common fandom issue/bad take but most of the time I block and move on and my fandom experience has been all the better for it. If you feel the need to talk about how bad a fandom is every benign time it comes up...

Let us not forget in our world of incorrectly measuring success by how many sequels something can churn out and how long it can produce new content to stay on trending social media that the original Mass Effect trilogy will always be one of the best sci-fi trilogies ever made. Thank you, Bioware.

(before anyone thinks this is me belittling the fact that people are losing their jobs, no it's fucking not)

i love this is a take measure at absolute zero for several decades now but fuck ea like whaaaat you mean selling out to saudi arabia didn't work for a shitty studio with "a duty to shareholders" and the first casualties include studios that have made visibly queer content? shocker.

WOW i was so upset my typing fuck on the first post I meant to say "I know this is a take measured" i'm so good at typing!!!!

gonna try to find/share as many interactions as i can

Jax's attack cry really is a dev correctly going "this character would actively try to ruin the experience for the player" while sobbing

i keep just posting funny bits but also this story is LEGIT hurting me ;u;

(also i'm having hilariously good luck on non tadc costumes when the hyperfixation won't permit me to care. "oh two legendaries in one pull that's nice, no maid jax tho")

The writers really did understand the assignment.
