False Memory was incredible. It came out of nowhere, so I had my doubts about it initially. Now it's a top contender in an already stacked season. I did not want to accept Guan Chao's fate since episode 1. I knew it was coming. I lied to myself right up until the last moment.

God, where do I even begin with Victory Gundam? Like, I don't even want to honor it with pictures; it's that upsetting to me! A few weeks back it gave me nightmares about it having sequels, and last night after the finale, I couldn't sleep for an hour because it was just that fucking stupid!

...That's Victory Gundam! Every woman in this show is somehow weirdly atracted to poor Uso, who's just 12 years old. Someone get this kid to another franchise! Anyway, the aforementioned bitch is Katejina. God, I've never hated a character so much in my life. At least Victory has that.

I had so little investment in this show, that by the end I can barely name the cast. Uso is Tomino's abuse goblin, Shakti starts out okay but become the literal idiot ball, Tomas and Odello made a nice team, Marbet was pretty cool... We had a discount Char, but he did nothing for 51 episodes.

The villains are off their rockers. They have a feminist version of killpeopleism. They execute people with guilotines and raze entire cities while pretending they are doing it for some greater good. It's even dumber that these psychos get spared and are sometimes taken prisoner. Just ice 'em!

Not even halfway through episode one of Kanata kara/From Far Away and it's already looking leagues better than Sora wa Akai Kawa no Hotori/Red River. Tatsunoko is doing such a piss poor job that it's make Studio DEEN look like UFOtable, and it's still not what Kanata kara deserves.

Also, I have to throw some shade at "To Be Hero X". I really dislike how "clean" the characters look in that show. All of them struggle with something in their lives, but they all look pristine at the end of the day. Their struggles leave no mark: no blemishes, no disheveled hair, no bags under...

The bit about the soda that tastes like burnt straw stuck with me longer than it should have. "Somehow, it tastes like memories." Probably because I instantly associated it with one of the sadder memories I have.
