It's a blatant display of intellectual dishonesty: he claims to believe that "AI" is the future of gaming development and it should be embraced, but he also seems to think its use should be a matter of privacy and not to be broadcasted to customers.
Such an intolerable dipshit.
Steam's AI disclosures are akin to "forcing developers to list their voting history", says man who must hate seeing eggs virtue signal that they're free-range. https://bit.ly/4yHFEyK
As always, my advice is:
If you see a poll that worries you, roll up your sleeves and get to work. Donate, register, volunteer.
And if you see a poll you like? Go to the same things.
Remember, folks... The load-bearing pillar of the US AI Bubble was the xenophobic scaremonger that China was going to outslop us...
With that boogeyman gone, government agencies and investors are going to start wondering if they're also lighting their money on fire...

China’s AI bubble has already burst. Its AI-heavy STAR50 index has fallen 40%, wiping out $480B.
Some Chinese AI chip companies have lost half their value.
Even after the crash, the index still trades at 100x earnings, down from nearly 250x. In comparison, the Nasdaq 100 trades at around 30x.
"The votes aren't there" is cowardice masked as savviness.
There has to be accountability for their crimes. The House has a duty to make the case here and if some GOP senators want to weasel out, make them own that vote.
Don't let pundits and "strategists" talk you out of doing your damn job.
Kamala Harris: I think that going in the direction of impeachment is not a good idea.
I was in the Senate for the last go-round, and the votes aren’t there.
I think after the election, we all have to just also agree that our attitude has to be to get stuff done…
“For the love of god, get out there and vote.” Jon has a message for 2026 voters, plus an all-new podcast on AI’s looming threat to our financial institutions with Ed Zitron. Drops tomorrow!
I promise I am not trying to be hyperbolic and this is my genuine reaction having just got out:
That is the best film of 2026, the single most technically beautiful and artistically inspiring film I've ever seen, and one of the best fantasy stories in any medium.
My god, what an achievement
Look, I know all the reasons we got here, but we really need to start seriously thinking about what we do in a world where The Markets punish whole countries for voting for decency, compassion, and fairness. We must stop pretending the capitalist machine is an objective, value neutral force.
When Anthropic was created, its co-founders pledged to commit 80% of their personal equity holdings in the company to philanthropic causes.
As they prepare to take the company public, they appear to be walking back that pledge.
i took down my old post because of a spelling error, which is less embarrassing than losing the election and immediately having your passport confiscated because you are being prosecuted for massive corruption.
i hope Jair and Flavio grow old together in whatever prison hospital has the worst food
re: Anthropic Day
Private markets have made the story of an IPO raising capital to expand business a myth. IPOs are commonly insiders and VC firms exiting while dumping risk on retail and pensions.
As with their AI products, it's not Anthropic taking huge financial risks.
It's the rest of us.
wait wait wait wait wait
the filing only covers up through Q2 2026?
it only covers the token maxxing honeymoon period of "AI can code now writing code yourself is dead spend ALL the tokens nowwww!!"
yeah no shit they had ridiculous revenue growth specifically through the end of that period 🙄
oh anthropic is profitable? i guess that makes theft of the commons at unprecedented scale and destruction of the environment to power the machine that automates the wholesale slaughter of meaning okay then and i will promptly reevaluate my position on AI
is what i would say if i were insane
Oh JOY, on Bluesky anytime I try to scroll up a page (home, post, search, anything) it begins to Stutter.…
Seriously, the ai coding creating incomprehensible auto-complete and spelling correction… now this….
But no…. “This is the fucking future!“
FINK: HALTING DATA CENTERS COULD TRIGGER A RECESSION BlackRock CEO Larry Fink told CNBC the U.S. economy depends heavily on AI infrastructure spending, with jobs, power investment and hardware demand tied to the buildout. $BLK
Reuters got some of the IPO docs. Anthropic is a total dog of a company. Spent $12.6bn to make $4.6bn in revenue in 2025, $7.33bn of which was compute costs. Operating loss of $8bn. Losses getting worse year over year. Amazing stuff

Been seeing a louder chorus of A.I. bros hating Cory Doctorow
Wonder what that’s about…
*looks at some of Cory’s latest interviews (that aren’t much different than what he’s been saying)*
Ah yes. I see why they’re mad. Truth hurts
