ClassicPress users: does it work out of the box with MarsEdit? (Please only answer if you know, for certain, because you have tried it.)

One day I will remember to remove the stopper as I remove the lever and before it drops into the sink, but today — on two sinks — is not that day.

A year and a half into a redesigned iOS and the keyboard still lags like I'm using Remote Desktop on a shitty Wi-Fi connection.

Some people don't like backgrounds in Messages because it makes the conversation illegible, but I don't like it because my wife keeps flashbanging me with the worst photos she has of my face in her camera roll.

I cut up a red cabbage tonight with dinner and now one of my hands looks like I have a clotting disorder.

Maddening stuff for all Canadians.

Meta has invested a fortune into artificial intelligence yet, somehow, Instagram posts with event announcements will inevitably show up in my feed one to two weeks after they have concluded.

The cowards running this province are sending out this doozy of a pamphlet on the referendum questions. For most, it advocates a strong position, but when it comes to the separation question, the government refuses to stand by its official stance we should remain in Canada.

I think if Shame got the same people who mixed their 2026 KEXP session to work on their next record, I'd like it a lot more than most of their discography.

The actual story here is that conservative parties are populated by enough conspiracy theorists that leadership caters to the dumbest ideas, and that conservatives have spent decades complaining about media bias. This leads to the CBC giving cranks a platform.

cbc.caFIRST PERSON | I was pushed to be self-sufficient. I want Alberta to stand on its own, too | CBC NewsAs a young mom, Vicky Bayford was denied social assistance in an Alberta that valued small government and self-sufficiency. That experience shaped her view of the debate on separatism and her hopes for an independent Alberta.

This is probably just confirmation bias, but the thing I noticed about drivers that made me uncomfortable in places like Vancouver and Montreal is that they are fast and aggressive, whereas the bad drivers in Calgary seem more likely to be sloppy and inattentive.

Whomever at Frigidaire is responsible for the design of the wobbly-ass potentiometer used in their ovens' temperature control should be required to personally apologize to every owner for inevitably ruining something they were baking.

Airline subreddits are a fascinating place because people with legitimate questions and complaints get ragged on by bootlickers. A lot of angry people shouting at each other without the power to do anything.

I've been used to 64 GB of RAM on an Intel iMac and, with the current pricing nuttiness, I'm tempted to save $600 by speccing a Mac Studio with 48 GB. Do we think I'll regret this?

Cannot imagine any drug giving me a greater high than I had today when I needed 85 grams of butter and, in a single cut, made a block weighing 85.1 grams.

Albertans, here is a quick guide to the ten-question referendum: Question 1: do you want to somehow restrict movement within Canada? Questions 2–5: do you want more bureaucracy? Questions 6–9: do you want to shout at Ottawa? Question 10: do you want to do the dumbest possible thing we could do?

Since today's theme appears to be hugely expensive products with unique hinging characteristics that, nevertheless, share much of their underpinnings with much more affordable versions, let me remind you of this absurd but interesting sedan.

Warming to this new Interpol record the more I listen to it. Middle chunk seems to lose a little momentum but maybe that will grow on me, too.

The reverse of this analogy makes more sense.

Alex Gibney: Musk is "old wine in a new bottle: a stock promoter" He says the film is an effort to "reframe" a story that Musk has dominated, and blurred the line between reality and fantasy.

There's targeted advertising and then there's the ad I saw immediately outside the Prime Minister's office in Ottawa for Saab's military aircraft.

Going to other places is cool because I look around and think about how much of it we could do similarly in Calgary if we weren't a city full of cowards.

It is illegal in Canada to ship any quantity of wine from Quebec to Alberta for personal consumption. It is, however, completely legal to put wine into a checked bag, and also to ship a Canada Post box full of dirty clothing.

That must be because Adobe has such a great customer experience. Makes sense to promote the person in charge of that.

I think compliance with the "Lake of America" and "Gulf of America" names is good because it is a persistent reminder for every American that government does things; and, when they elect stupid people, they get a government doing stupid things.

Why is the CBC doing this? Haven't we learned from a decade of glowing profiles of Trump voters that this is not informative?
