Oh hell no. This shouldn't be a thing. In the author's voice is even worse, because now nobody will believe it when an author narrates their own book. I'm a few chapters into narrating Our Simulated Selves on my own. Slow going. It was gonna be a surprise, but not with this tech out there. Sigh.

The fruit fly brainscan going around as freeware on the internet fills me with terror beyond comprehension. I wrote a whole book warning about this shit. I wonder if the simulated fruit fly's brainscan experiences something akin to dysphoria when mapped into a different body than a fruit fly's.

Fifteen days until Fallow Till We Bloom! And let me tell you, I am SCRAMBLING to get a few last minute changes incorporated, adding a final coat of polish to make this book the absolute best it can be (hopefully without adding any new typos in the process 😱)

The biggest shoutout to the random festival girls at Daisy Chain Fields who got fed up with the immobile traffic jam in Lot 2 at almost midnight, walked to the middle of the road, moved traffic cones, and directed the traffic on their own. Absolute legends.

Fellow trans authors, please advise a noob. How are y'all doing ARCs for your upcoming books? Booksprout? Netgalley? Direct epub files with trusted people? For my first book I just didn't bother with ARCs because I couldn't figure it out in time, but I actually have time to do this next book right!
