Mark Zuckerberg is straight up way more evil than Elizabeth Holmes but because he’s got a lot of money the tech press has to go to his little events and pretend his ideas are valid instead of being like “what’s up with that dumbass shirt?” and “don’t you regularly influence elections/genocides?”

If you’ve been injured in an accident, choosing the right attorney can make all the difference in your recovery. At Carrion Accident & Injury Attorneys, our personal injury lawyers are prepared to stand up to insurance companies, protect your rights, and fight for the compensation you deserve

Look...when it comes to teeth, and the qualities associated with them--specifically how well they might rend flesh from a carcass--I simply have no comment

RIP Mike Ditka. About 25 years ago, he was golfing with Michael Jordan in the Chicago suburbs. My grandfather was ahead of them on the course, but they caught up. He said he’d let them play through if I got an autograph out of it, knowing that I was a huge Bulls fan. MJ said sure, what ya got?

He had a $20 bill and a golf pencil. They laughed and Jordan signed it, saying if he had it he’d be spending it instead. Ditka said a $100 would be better, and asked if there was anything for him to sign. Grandpa said no thanks. I still think about the face he must have made.

More than 80% of the Texas flood survivors who tried to call FEMA last year got no response. It’s not looking any better now

“My biggest concerns are always the loss of institutional knowledge. You lose that knowledge. You lose the people who had been through these big disasters in the past,” said Deanne Criswell, who led Fema under the Biden administration. www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026...

Grid connected data centers could boost GHGs “6% in less than 10 years” w/BTM data centers boosting GHGs “20 to 33%.” I am astounded by the magical thinking of far too many—esp. in the wonk crowd—that sacrificing environmental & accountability guardrails will somehow work out well. It won’t.

i did a little Climate Week postmortem on data centers: co2 emissions are far & away the most alarming part of the buildout. but there hasn't been much of a reckoning beyond climate spaces kind of wondering when it'll enter the larger convo, if at all, and what that may look like

There’s a group of about 3 ostensibly leftist “climate guys” on X who only seem to give a shit about nuclear energy and it’s extremely boring. But they love each other more than anything

Scoop: Meta's Muse AI can make phone calls. Internally, Meta has told employees that many of these calls will be made by human beings in a call center: www.404media.co/meta-tests-m...

The Museum of the Moving Image is a treasure. Where else can you go to a Labor Day screening of Wet Hot American Summer and then see 1) Miss Piggy IRL 2) the Tyrell Corporation pyramid 3) vintage TV sets 4) a silicone cast of Robin Williams’ face

Really curious about what is happening behind the scenes. I assumed that the images were freshly generated by each business, but if you look closely, many of them are the same everywhere. Look at this sandwich with the demonic meat, onions, and peppers—three different spots across NYC

This post is unavailable.

Like, it makes sense that somebody would just lazily prompt an AI to design a banner or sandwich board, but this implies a weird middle ground where people are sourcing uncanny and disgusting images and then willingly putting them into a Canva layout or something?

AI could never design a sidewalk sign like this. We’re talking lips, teeth, and eyes fully disembodied and collaged together, a picture of beauty that drives potential customers absolutely wild.

Let’s fucking gooooo

William Lawrence wins the Democratic primary for Michigan’s 7th congressional district, @nbcnews.com projects. He will face first-term Republican Rep. Tom Barrett in this key swing district.

Upgraded the screen, made it easier to read, and reworked the enclosure. Def happy enough with the project to stop here.

Was able to get a stripped-down version of this running. Skipped the PCB and lengthened the enclosure to fit the jumper cables. Total cost was somewhere around $130...and I just found out that AirGradient sells an easy DIY kit for almost the same price 🤦‍♂️

It’s literally not possible to have a functioning society, anywhere on earth, where this piece of shit is not imprisoned for life and stripped of all his assets.

The wildfire smoke is motivating me to build one of these. Just picked up a few microcontrollers and have an extra to pair with a Sensirion SEN66. www.youtube.com/watch?v=DqiM...
