Ah yes, my mandatory in-office collaboration day: the pinnacle of public service efficiency! I hop on my 30-minute bus ride with my lunch from home, ensuring I make absolutely zero contribution to the local sandwich shop economy.*

After that, it’s straight to my cubicle to spend the rest of the day on Teams calls with colleagues in every province except the one I’m physically in. Truly, location-based synergy at its finest.

They say being in the office builds connection. And they’re right: I’m connecting to the Wi-Fi, to my headset, and occasionally to the coffee machine. #CollaborationDay #HiCommissionaire #BreadEconomyDisruption #PublicServiceMagic

I miss the days when The Onion was comedy

"It’s time to just accept that some people like having sex with kids and focus on the fantastic things we’re doing to win back the respect of the world." — Donald Trump theonion.com/trump-urges-...

Solid explanation of what "AI agents" need to do "under the hood" of your device to perform the tasks they're promising. Worrisome privacy implications to say the least.

Worth a watch: Head of Signal, Meredith Whittaker, on so-called "agentic AI" and the difference between how it's described in the marketing and what access and control it would actually require to work as advertised.

One element of the Dragon Age story that I want to emphasize: If the team had known in 2021 (after the single-player pivot) that they'd ship in Oct 2024, it'd be a much different game. Instead they were always under the impression they had to finish in 6-12 months, which led to all sorts of problems

NEW: What went wrong with Dragon Age: The Veilguard? Why was the writing so tonally inconsistent? Why did it feel so shallow? Why were there so few choices? Really, after ten years of turbulence, it was a miracle that anything came out at all. This is the story: www.bloomberg.com/news/article...

On my second playthrough of #Expedition33. I would have LOVED if someone had told me that the "Check on others" option in camp is NOT THE SAME as talking to everyone individually. It triggers a while new set of story beats.

Everyone is absolved if they need to be for liking Harry Potter as children back when Rowling seemed normal, but this is the moment in the zombie movie where you’re weeping and holding an axe and everyone is yelling “you need to do it, that’s not the Joanne you knew, Joanne is gone”

He's actually asking how big John A. Macdonald's rallies were? What an absolute bellend.

The other clip I had wanted to share because it stood out to me, but I didn’t have time: Poilievre bragging about his rally sizes two days ago. If he wants to avoid Trump comparisons, this isn’t the way to do it.
