My freehand nailart skills are still a bit rough, but I did some cute lil’ mushrooms. I also attempted stamping on my thumb and pinky but haven’t yet mastered getting the stamp to fully pick up the design. And I need to find a top coat that doesn’t smear all my hard work.

Volunteered today to help teach at a Pokemon tcg learn-to-play event at the Strong Museum of Play. Once again decided I needed themed nails for this event. Always fun seeing kids and families eager to learn how to play the card game together.

Okay, I did the thing.

I won 3rd place in a fanart contest that Tokyopop held to promote a web comic that they were publishing as a graphic novel. My prize was 5 volumes of manga of my choice plus a signed copy of the book they were promoting.

Look at these incredibly cool gifts my brother sent for my birthday. I don't know if it was intentional on his part, but that trilobite on the one magnet is an Arctinurus, which is found in a shale deposit that's named after our hometown & many of the specimens come from a quarry I've been to.

Went and saw the tour of Wicked last night. I couldn't not do themed nails, especially since one of the polishes is actually named Emerald City. Also, it's super hard to see, but on my thumb there is a nailart sticker of a witch riding a broom.

Gave myself some wintery nails inspired by the Lorcana Winterspell expansion. And happened to pull a card that matches them quite nicely.
