Any Canadians out there that can answer this? I have a family member that lived in Canada for a couple of years (we are US citizens). They told me parents can elect to send their children to catholic schools in Canada using public school funds (reminds me of vouchers here in the US).

How does that system work? Do they have to accept everyone? Does Canada have standardized testing and do those schools participate? Would love info from a first person perspective.

My dislike for the current Congress is only bested by those that blindly spread misinformation. Congress does not get a pension of $174k/yr after one term. That has never been the case. They get 1-1.1% per year of their highest 3 yrs of salary averaged together. They pay in for this benefit as

well, between 0.9-4.4% of their salary depending on their first date of service under the current FERS system. They are also entitled to buy FEHB insurance after retirement at current employee rates. We don’t know what they pay under the ACA exchange they use for health insurance while serving.

I don’t understand why anyone would be against having a shared stake in the future of our country. A shared investment in our future rather than a concentration of wealth in people that would work you to actual death for you to earn them just one more dollar. Tax the rich. Fair wages for all.
