Voting records are what keep politicians accountable. Having them on an easy to use platform makes them accessible. If they go, we lose easy to access to: 1. Voting records of every federal MP going back decades, 2. Almost 1 million entries of Hansard 3. Almost 15,000 FOI requests.

Right to Know is a vitally important resource for public advocacy and journalism and I know there are some real They Vote For You merchants on here and you should ALL strongly consider supporting OpenAustralia, as everyone benefits from their free public collections whether we use them or not.

⚠️ Unless more of the people who use our library start supporting it every month, we will have no choice but to begin an orderly wind-down of Right to Know, They Vote for You, Planning Alerts, and openaustralia.org.au. 🔗 DONATE: open.org.au/yspb

A regulator needed a record of what agencies had released under FOI, and when. To get it, they used Right to Know. The OAIC's review of 30 disclosure logs names it more than thirty times. This is what our library is for: oaf.org.au/2026/08/13/t... #FOI #RightToKnow #OpenGov #Australia #Library

Our CEO Ben Fairless will be on ABC Radio Canberra with Alice Matthews from ~1pm AEST, talking about TheyVoteForYou.org.au and why everyone should see how their MP votes. Listen live: www.abc.net.au/listen/live/... Support: donate.oaf.org.au #auspol #TheyVoteForYou #OpenAustralia #transparency

theyvoteforyou.org.auHow does your MP vote on the issues that matter to you?Forget what politicians say. What truly matters is what they do. And what they do is vote, to write our laws which affect us all.

The policy “for supporting Israel” is a draft. It’s still being worked on, is subject to change, and may be wildly inaccurate until it’s been finalised. #TheyVoteForYou #Israel #Australia #Gaza #auspol

Unfortunately we’ve seen an increase in automated services sending too many requests to theyvoteforyou.org.au. We have been forced to implement some extra security measures - these shouldn’t impact humans but if you are having any issues, please let us know. #TheyVoteForYou #OpenAustralia

It’s incredible that the government is seeking to use “national security” as a premise for hiding the source code of some very basic software. Please consider contributing to Fraser’s FOI fight! #FOI #Transparency #RightToKnow

Fraser Tweedale is seeking source code for the MyGov app - he needs to raise 20k in 6 days to fund his case at administrative review tribunal - he's halfway there. Can you chip in? Or amplify the call? www.pozible.com/project/mygo...

Bad news. For a big chunk of today theyvoteforyou.org.au has been down. We've had a sudden spike in automated traffic. The problem combined with a performance issue on a particular page. We've blocked traffic and put in place a workaround. Fingers crossed it's all good now. Enjoy!
