This is definitely the case. You could not bring up any of the other red flags about him (four tours and blackwater, with lots of writings about loving murder) without someone shutting down the conversation by making it be about the dumb tattoo and how he’s a secret nazi who’s gonna Hydra the DNC.

I think the case of Platner, there was probably an overpuffed case that he was a literal nazi (which he almost certainly is not), and this distracted from the actual, also shitty reason he got a nazi tat

They Alex Jones’d all of Platner’s other red flags and made it be all about whether or not an unsubstantiated conspiracy is true or not. So in time all folks needed to decide was whether or not he’s a neo-nazi, and if he wasn’t than he’s innocent of everything else.

I will say that while it’s likely that voters would blame Trump for the shutdown, Wall Street and the Donor Class definitely would not have. The DOW went up by 650 points today, I’m sure Ken Martin is pointing that out to the good billionaires.

My friend sat me down and had me play Thank Goodness You’re Here. Great game. Really impressed by how they handled having a “location” game not being a metroidvania or a sandbox. The animation and storytelling was done so well it felt like I was performing in a cartoon. Truly impressed by the game.
