dio: how many breads have you eaten in your life guy who's eaten bread three times: three breads dio: wait really? that's crazy. i've killed way more people than that

Yes, I imagine it would be difficult to make a video game if you have absolutely zero relevant skills and refuse to learn any

I can't believe he's still at it, it's been days

sorry i need to publicly be a hater for a second but what do you mean the giant 230k+ signature save mass effect petition is only about the IP and not the devs that were laid off

"This remake is inviting new players into this world" is so condescending. Ohh wittle new players oooh you simply cannot handle playing games from 20 years ago...you're too wittle and dumb with your wittle brain

Did you guys know that cars go 27 meters every SECOND on the highway??? am I the only person that thinks that seems REALLY REALLY fast????

it didn’t really dawn on me that video games were a human made production until I unlocked this behind the scenes video in Ratchet and Clank Going Commando Once I saw the big cardboard replicas of the guns, I was doomed. I needed to make video games.

This week has been beyond difficult for the games industry, so we want to use this weeks #QuestionsWithCauseway to reflect on how impactful games are. So, which game or franchise made you want to be a developer?

BioWare was killed by forces outside the studio itself. It was bullshit. Wishing everyone who lost their jobs today well, as well as everyone who used to work there before moving on. Edmonton and BioWare are nearly synonymous in games, it’s crazy

the game wore me down way, way too much with the same 3 fucking enemies over and over and over and over again did they just think the axe knight was a divine creation or something? they put them fucking everywhere

the boss that unlocks the good ending was one of the few i thought was genuinely really cool, but i still whooped its ass on my first try

am i fucking stupid. i am completely stuck on the hall of mirrors. i have no god damn clue what i'm doing. i have ran through the same 5 or 6 rooms like a hundred times

if you’re reading all this Castlevania discourse and haven’t played SotN, Rondo, the original on NES, or any of the handheld games, what are you waiting for? You don’t need this discourse! A feast awaits you!!!

Belmont’s Curse is sterile. Every weapon has a bespoke slot in the menu, so you instantly know how many weapons are in the game. Enemy variety is low. Music lacks color and atmosphere This is the big thing fans of the series are missing. It’s very noticeable

Earnestness is the most important thing to making interesting art, more important than technical skill. Too many things nowadays pre-emptively self-deprecate as a desperate (and attempt to garner attention from ppl who would reject them anyways... it just undermines the entire thing.

glad I was patient with Belmont's Curse, it picks up pretty good after the opening hour. Still lots of complaints but overall I'm currently feeling it's "solid" which is high praise considering how harsh I was on the demo

someone told me a while ago that I don’t post about my game enough on here. I was very flattered that they cared! But I really don’t want to come off like I’m doing “social media marketing” No shade but I have unfollowed people who just post their game and link their steam ad infinitum.

If it’s working for them, and getting more people to play their game and enjoy it, that’s great! but I really want ppl to know I’m posting my raw thoughts and opinions, and not a curation of ads for my “””content”””

I’m still thinking about Bob’s Bottles

watching psychodyssey makes me wanna play psychonauts 2 again. i complained a lot about that game, just because certain sections / elements weren't great. but the parts that were good were *really* special.
