Just download that zip, and in QGIS go to Plugins -> Manage and Install Plugins -> Install from ZIP. Ideally you have v0.6 or earlier of GeoParquet Downloader plugin installed. It should pop up a message & guide you to know what's happening. Please let me know if it works, or what went wrong.

We've published 118,678,424 open-data field boundaries so far. The boundaries have been collected from different open data portals, in different formats, and are now published in a single format. If you're creating farmer software solutions and need field boundaries, use them to your advantage...

We should see some major strides towards a vision of a sustainable, global field boundary dataset that's an open, digital public good. We'll be focusing on sustainable agricultural practices, reporting on deforestation regulations and food security...

The first initiative was one of the best groups of collaborators I've ever worked with. Everyone at the wrap-up agreed one of the highlights was working with a group of people where there's no drama and everyone's contributing as best they can.

just moved stacrs, my no-dep Python package for working with #stac, to the stac-utils org: github.com/stac-utils/s... stacrs is meant to be a compliment, not a replacement, to existing packages (e.g. PySTAC) right now, it can read+write+search stac-geoparquet (searching via DuckDB) more to come!

It was an amazing group of collaborators, all pulling in the same direction to lay real foundations for global field boundary datasets. We have some great momentum now, and I'm really excited that TGE has secured funding for to build on those foundations and accelerate towards the vision.

I do believe that you'll find success as long as you've got a real problem you want to solve and you're willing to be a bit hard-headed and keep trying even if it doesn't work at first. The tools are really quite magical, greatly shortening the learning curve.

Does anyone have good experience using the US National Hydrography Dataset (NHD) dataset? I'm contemplating translating it into GeoParquet to make it easier to download portions of it. But it's got a ton of tables in the GeoPackage - do people use all of those? Or is there a key subset?
