Just saw witches of eastwick for the first time. It teaches the important lesson that there’s nothing wrong with forming a polycule with your best friends and a supernatural monster, but you should kick him to the curb when it becomes clear that he’s an abusive asshole who doesn’t respect boundaries

To be fair if you secretly recorded any billionaire for more than an hour I'm sure you would catch them on tape saying "Look at this illegal thing I'm doing"
That ain’t workin’, that’s the way ya do it, you post fuck alf on the bluesky feed. That ain’t workin’, that’s the way you do it, hellfies for nothing and your feet for free
You know how bats have weird immune systems that make them ideal reservoirs for diseases because they don’t get symptomatic from a lot of pathogens? That’s basically how my epistemic immune system is setup. Pretty sure it’s an adaptive strategy to deal with intrusive thoughts.
Ok now I’m wondering about a hyperspecific meme format that’s basically meme_components.jpeg but doing it all following the meter of elanor rigby, e.g.
Fluffy gray kitty,
Asking of he can haz bite of your burger with cheez,
Oh pretty please
Cats siphon compute from their humans. You know that part of your brain that’s always thinking about your cat? Yeah your cat is using its own tulpa inside your head to more effectively think kitty thoughts. In this way they are, at least a little bit, like gods

Gonna do some esotericposting but I’ve been repatterning my approach to large projects. Unlike most tech folks of my generation, the first complex system I truly grokked was a car. A 2002 dodge neon, to be precise (not my first, just the first I really understood from top to bottom).
I kept on digging into more difficult projects. I even built a megasquirt standalone EMS for that neon. But I learned some really unhealthy habits and approaches that prevented me from ever being actually…good at it.
Anyways I’m taking on a project again for the first time in a while. A trivial one by most standards but bigger than I’ve done in a while so I’m using that to recalibrate my approach. And it seems to be working. Less rushing, fewer mistakes. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast

You could, if you were so inclined, call me a car mage. I do my best thinking when driving and a lot of my deep habits relating to how I approach difficult challenges are wrapped up in experiences like“oh no I have 24 hours to fix the clutch on this or I won’t be able to make it to work”
alright the mutelists feature is finally in app store review for a release tomorrow, under a new moderation section that’s complete with an awkwardly-inconsistent icon that just screams Quality
