“We are driven to make things better. We have that dream to make a better world.” Remembering Walter Koenig, best known for playing Pavel Chekov in Star Trek and Alfred Bester in Babylon 5. His decades-long career left a lasting mark on television and generations of fans. Rest in peace #NOH8

Georgia people: has anyone seen a TV spot from the Keisha Lance-Bottoms campaign? The don’t watch a ton of TV, but when I do? Tons of Rick Jackson spots. Nothing from the KLB campaign. Some anti-Jackson spots from PACs but nothing else. It’s weird. Early voting has started. What gives?

Trump and Republicans are restarting their voter fraud misinformation machine ahead of the midterms. When I checked, Republican candidates were implicated in voter fraud at up to 38,000x the public’s rate. If they were actually worried about voter fraud, they’d start with their own candidates.

The #Packers Jordan Love is not getting enough credit. Bad O line play, under constant pressure, Love is delivering the ball through man, zone, tight coverages, with consistent accuracy… putting the ball to a spot where only his receivers can drop it. Amazing. #GoPackGo

Like many in #Packers nation I’m waiting for Micah Parsons to return. “That will solve a lot of problems!” But tonight I realized all Parsons’ return will bring us is 3-4 more bullshit roughing the passer flags a game. #GoPackGo regardless!

I’m convinced part of the #Packers problem has to do with the 2014 NFCC game reactionary decision to have the HC report to the team President. Now the money guys are in control of the football side. The GM should hire/fire the coach. Let Ed Policy run the sledding hill and concession stands.

Bad calls aside, what was LaFleur’s gameplan for the #Packers today? Where was Gannon’s plan to rattle Goff like he did Dak? We had no answers even when Campbell tried to hand us the game late in the 4th. Stupid. This whole thing was stupid.

Counterpoint: OH COME THE FUCK ON ALREADY.

Most billionaire wealth isn't in yachts or jewelry — that's just a few percent of it. Most is productive business capital: companies that employ people, build things, and fund research. Tax that wealth and you're taxing the businesses that employ us all. Cato's Adam Michel explains.

The first genuinely honest ad for generative AI I've ever seen, from Microsoft / CoPilot A mediocre white guy sees his non-white colleague getting praised for good work, he asks AI to *literally copy it*, and then he gets all the praise instead: www.ispot.tv/ad/SoDi/micr...

A vile stain on our national soul, and all so that the Republican Party and its racist electorate could rock forward and back and giggle gleefully into their phones while they punished black folks and shot this community’s economy in the dick

Springfield, Ohio, leads the state in year-over-year job losses. When thousands of Haitian residents lost their protection from deportation, dozens were arrested, scores lost their jobs and others either left the country or decided to hunker down at home.

"For most of ornithological history, scientists understood migration through brief glimpses of a bird, a specimen collected somewhere else, or the rare instance of a banded bird recovered […] Today, it’s possible to see the journeys themselves, almost in real time." #Birds #Migration #Nature

theconversation.comFor centuries, bird migration was a mystery – a tech revolution is changing that, and could help save these amazing creaturesAn early clue came from storks found in Europe with African arrows in their bodies. Today, an atlas reveals hundreds of bird migration routes that are both complicated and remarkable.
