Please stop asking me what I'm passionate about. I'm passionate about not being at work, I don't care about synergy, I don't want to expand global whatever. I just want to go for a nice walk or hang out with the boys.

Clair Obscur is such a joy to engage with on every level. The gameplay is the right level of challenging, the mechanics are just complex enough, the visuals are gorgeous, the story is compelling. I can't see this NOT being my GOTY

Trump just pumped and dumped the economy to plug his own stock at the risk of forcing the world to drop the dollar as the international currency. Truly can't think of a more disastrous and selfish thing an individual with so much power could do

The great thing about living during this generation is I don't think it was so obvious rich people were complete idiots in the 50s. It's on full display for us. No need to mythologize that American wealth is merit based.

It's not a bad idea to go to the local Walmart or big box retailer and buy lots of consumables now. From toothpaste to soap, anything you can find storage space for, buy before they have to replenish inventory. Even if it's made in the USA , they will jack up the price and blame it on tariffs.

Don't darken my doorstep during the toilet paper wars of 2026.

Bidet people are so smug “I’m so clean! I’ve eliminated the need for toilet paper!” Oh really? Doesn’t a bidet spray your ass with water? Ok wet ass

The switch 2 took long enough that I already moved to the steam deck. Still very hyped by the announcement, but spending $450 on something I'll have to rebuy all my games on? On deck if I upgrade I still have my entire library and I can play on any PC.

I am officially derailed and addicted to Shadowveil: Legend of the 5 Rings. Granted, I am likely to be, I was there when the ancient words were spoken (I was playing the TCG in 1997) so the property holds a place in my heart. What a surprise to find this game listed all of a sudden.

In “Way of the Kings” there’s a cursed king who doesn’t know whether he will wake up a genius or an idiot each morning. That’s how I am now with anger. Today I am very angry.

Okay, but thinking about the difficulty perhaps this a good entry point for people who feel intimidated by Metroidvanias or Soulsborne games. Also, experimenting with my first inherited skill and I'm impressed by it. The way they justify your abilities allows for interesting implementation.

I went no-hit on the first boss on the first attempt. Upon googling, it seems like the game is considered pretty easy and is mostly about the story. I see some reviewers with 50 hours in the game. If it remains easy, I don't see myself being able to put that much time into it. We'll see

Playing: Ender lillies, Quietus of the Knights. Very positive on Steam metroidvania. I hear good things about the sequel and this is free on the Epic Game Store, so I thought I'd finish it before starting the next.

Expectations: I'm a big Metroidvania fan so I expect to really enjoy this. It also is said to remedy some of the problems with story telling in Metroidvanias since each of your abilities is a character in and of itself. I'm not partial to the art style, but I wonder if it will grow on me.
