The Times, which it should be said has had quite astute and detailed coverage of Brazil in recent months and years, featured three articles -three- in today’s Sunday print edition presupposing and then explaining Lula’s inevitable defeat by Bolsonaro Jr.

In his acceptance speech, Lula says he will work to regulate digital platforms in Brazil. “Digital crimes must be dealt with like real-life crimes.” This comes after Meta directly interfered with the Brazilian elections, favouring Flávio Bolsonaro.

The NYPD just released surveillance video of the ICE shooting (which occurred off camera). Two men in civilian clothes run up to a car with guns drawn. One second later, one man begins smashing the butt of his gun into the driver’s side window. The driver appears to panic and hit the gas.
