Hi everyone, the latest entry in my Wes-tober series celebrates SUMMER OF FEAR. I’m a big fan of this one & a big fan of both Linda Blair & Lee Purcell’s performances too. from-the-desk-of-the-horror-chick.ghost.io/wes-tober-su... Open to both free & paid subscribers.

I say some pretty stupid stuff about Hitchcock and PSYCHO on this week's upcoming ep of @fthismovie.bsky.social but in my defense I'm a fucking idiot

Check out how easy this is.

If you need the keep your TORQUE DVD go ahead, art from artist, burn the rest it was always trash and he’s suuuuch an asshole

Why was I so sure Armond White had died

I just think everyone should love and appreciate Tobe Hooper as much as I do

Heather Wixson is probably the most important (and likely the most readable) historian of the craft of film special effects today. The lack of support for her work is sad. Her writing is clear, engaging, enthused, precise & thourough. Critical reading for genre fans & well worth supporting!

Ep 129 from @fangoria.bsky.social We discuss new films OTHER MOMMY, WHALEFALL, THE DEVILS, THE CYCLE, BREEDER as well as new series BELOW,  CARRIE & CRYSTAL LAKE. We then talk to Fangos Mike Gingold about his new doc ‘Slasher Trash’ podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/col…

Already some pushback against people not liking CRYSTAL LAKE but there’s a big difference between innocent stupid (the Ft13th movies) and cynical IP stupid (CRYSTAL LAKE)

Been logging several first-time watches on Letterboxd lately only to discover I’ve already seen and logged them, wonder what happened during those years I’ve memory holed

It’s the best time of year!! Thank you @elrickane.bsky.social and @bobfreelander.bsky.social for having me back to do the annual Horrorthon ep of @purecinemapod.bsky.social!!!

Most of these I picked for the vibes

Finally heard Tarantino saying “You crazy, Quentin” during the missing reel in DEATH PROOF and it was like learning someone you used to have a crush on is now MAGA

Seeing GRINDHOUSE again and I’m convinced no one has ever looked better than Marley Shelton in PLANET TERROR but then Zoe Bell appears in DEATH PROOF and proves me wrong

Gonna start a Change.org petition to bring back Frank Darabont
