Did a test of Fists of Sigmarite using a different approach by base coating with an ochre and using a lighter layer of metal; I really like the result and will probably do something like this for my main army. #paintingwarhammer #warhammercommunity #ageofsigmar #minipainting

I've been really enjoying what I've played and it sucks that the developer, Auroch Digital, still ended up laying off developers. A lot of news about the bigger studios lately, but even the smaller ones can't escape this it seems.

Tried another Stormhost, this time Sons of Mallus. I missed some cleanup and my armor highlighting comes through as much as I'd like, but practice is practice and I dig this color scheme. Anvils Of The Heldenhammer look cool, too. #paintingwarhammer #warhammercommunity #ageofsigmar #minipainting

This time I tried out a Lions of Sigmar scheme. I put some gold contrast paint over a silver base to see how it looked. I think it looks better in person under normal lighting, but I need a better setup to take pictures of my minis. #paintingwarhammer #warhammercommunity #ageofsigmar #minipainting

Grabbed another old Stormcast to practice on. This time I tried to do more of a Hallowed Knights color scheme. I'm hoping to work my way through all of the Stormhosts and finally decide on one for my newer SCE models. #paintingwarhammer #warhammercommunity #ageofsigmar #minipainting

Mini painters: what lights are you using? I’ve tried a random assortment of lights, including LED lamps, traditional swivel lamps with LED bulbs, and half moon lights, but I feel like it’s still hard to get good coverage. #warhammer #warhammer40k #warhammercommunity #minipainting #aos

It's interesting how fast this all happened. They added MCP support in 5.8 and now it feels like they are just going at a breakneck pace to re-brand as an AI-first company.

It's been nice taking a break from recreational programming. My job (and many others') has signifcantly in the last 2 years and I have less energy or drive to do it lately. Going forward my projects will probably just be working on some #gamedev stuff in Godot and learning to program my Apple IIGS.

I haven't painted in a while and used this old Stormcast to test out a new color scheme (Celestial Knights). Hoping to get back into the habit at least once a day to keep improving! #paintingwarhammer #warhammercommunity #ageofsigmar #minipainting

The new Apple TV 4K has to be one of the worst revisions I've ever seen them put out. Same dumb remote (at least it has a speaker I guess?), useless AI features, huge price jump, and it can't even do 4k@120hz. If anything, I'd rather have cheaper mini versions for my older non-OLED TVs...

Reposting my #9games since it's going around again. I could make dozens of lists but that was what I was feeling at the time. Some of my favorite games/series aren't even represented on here, but I also feel like all of the ones here had a large impact on me. Might be fun to do some by platform.

So this was tough and they aren't really in any order. Also, I probably like almost every game in the series here, but I just picked my favorite entries. #9games

#picotron port of #doom under way major roadblock lifted today: sprite masking against geometry 😰 a *lot* remains to be done - stay tuned!!

I don’t understand the argument for cost-savings with AI-gen menus. Food is literally something you can photograph, it costs you nothing to do, and presumably you are making the food anyways because you sell it?

We optimized draw calls by 99% (lol) in Hidden Folks 2 by writing some tools to find all textures used in a level, generate a level-specific atlas, and replace individual texture references with atlas textures. Thread below 🧵👇🏼 #godotengine

I wish there was an easy built-in way to track GitHub release analytics because I sometimes have huge surges from out of nowhere and have no clue where or how my CLI is being used outside of people messaging me on socials or issues.

I'm assuming what most people do is host them on object storage on CloudFlare etc so they can filter by requests and drill in a little bit, but I don't understand why GitHub doesn't just offer any kind of data points.

Kicking the tires of BitWarden and I think it's pretty solid but has a few quirks. I still appreciate that you can just swap servers and self-host if you want to without too much effort.
