Ehh, same old, same old. That stupid language. "Trans-identified men", "guys in dresses", "erasure of female spaces"... You've heard it all before. Only this time it's an "essay", not a tweet. I've read it, so you don't have to. #jkrowling #transphobia #bullshit www.jkrowling.com/opinions/an-...

And please, PLEASE, watch William Eubank's previous SF epics, Love (starring Isaac Clarke from Dead Space) and The Signal (with a solid performance by Laurence Fishburne). They are two absolutely gorgeous films, with tons of cerebral ideas and breathtaking cinematography. Don't sleep on them.

Movie recommendation for tonight, Underwater Kristen Stewart stars in this sci-fi/horror set in an underwater mining facility, and that's all I'm going to say about it because I just watched this one night without knowing a thing about it, which was definitely the ideal viewing circumstance!

I'd never vote for any politician who disregards trans rights. Or gay rights or whatever. I can't imagine seeing such a canditate as the lesser evil to their opponent(s).

Unfortunately there are people who care about trans people having rights who are not trans people themselves and I’m sure that the number will suddenly grow exponentially post election when candidates have lost and you’re looking for someone to blame that isn’t the candidates themselves

For decades I have maintained that this scene from #DarkCity by #AlexProyas is the single best scene in history of popcorn cinema. Sure, artistic films did better things, but in the commercial, crowd pleasing department, this is it. It just doesn't get any better. Minus the shitty CGI.

One of the most unique vampire films ever and and a true masterpiece. A movie I will never stop recommending to people, because it's just so goddamn good and still underseen.

Cronos (1992) A mysterious device designed to provide its owner with eternal life resurfaces after four hundred years, leaving a trail of destruction in its path. #GuillermodelToro #folkhorror #bodyhorror #darkfantasy #horror #horrormovies #horrorsky #horrorjunkie

There are very few horror films I am as obsessed by as I am with Shocker. I just adore it. Seen it maybe 50 times. It's endlessly enjoyable. It may have the best pacing in any Wes Craven film - yes, even better than in first Freddy movie and in Scream. It's incredibly fun to watch.

Shocker (1989) A psychotic serial killer is finally caught thanks to a high school football player who has a strange connection to the killer. Right before getting executed, he performs a demonic ritual and uses electricity to come back from the dead. #WesCraven #slasherhorror #horror #horrormovies

Alongside Sheen's The Believers, one of the best anthropological horrors of that era. Probably *the* best one. I love it to death. The buried alive scene? Nightmare fuel forever.

The Serpent and the Rainbow (1988) An anthropologist goes to Haiti to research a drug that makes someone appear dead by suspending all vital signs. #WesCraven #folkhorror #zombiehorror #horror #horrormovies #horrorsky #horrorjunkie

An absolutely batshit insane (and pretty bad) horror movie that is a fascinating failure. It will be remembered fondly by future generations just like other masterpieces of Craven schlock like Deadly Friend and Shocker. I really liked it. But ya, it's bad. So bad.

My Soul to Take (2010) A serial killer returns to his hometown to stalk seven children who share the same birthday as the date he was allegedly put to rest. #WesCraven #slasherhorror #horror #horrormovies #horrorsky #horrorjunkie
