I'm happy to be taking a stance on this now, I imagine I'm going to be poking the backrooms bees nest with this one too.

Just changed my thumbnails in support. Generative slop will become a plague on VRChat's community in multiple ways; and VRChat failing to address or filter it will only make the worlds made by human hands more difficult to find.

Since day 1 I have been a monthly VRC+ subscriber. I love the platform, I wanted to show my support to keep the platform attractive to create on. The current silence from @vrchat.com on GenAI and the issues it has created is putting faith in the platform on the line.

Hello! Due to VRChat's recent issues revolving around Generative AI, I will be taking a step back from public world and game creation until they decide to acknowledge and address this issue plaguing the platform.

Trust me, it’s seen and heard, but it’s a sensitive topic, so it wouldn’t be wise for any individual employee to share their opinion right now. That said, I’m a huge fan of players sharing their opinions. Continue to do so peacefully and constructively and you may influence the game we all love here

The login page for @vrchat.com has an AI modified background for until it loads a video background, instead of featuring creator's worlds like it used to. This platform is falling apart.

We understand that AI generated content is a big topic in the current VR landscape. The Resonite team has been working on an AI disclosure policy and tools to ensure that you can both filter AI generated content, and properly tag content as such. Thank you for being patient with us!

Stupid thing about the VRChat staff is that there is 50% recklessly supporting AI and another 50% that hates it and wants it gone. Word from these people is if we want this to change we need to make a fucking stink of it
