Just voted early, in downtown Cleveland. I voted for Sherrod Brown, Amy Acton, and every other Democrat. Go get 'em...good luck.

Jack Smith for Attorney General in the next Democratic administration. He's an authentic American hero who embodies everything that is good about the American experiment: intelligence, honor, integrity, and respect for the rule of law.

At the same time, Ike had a top marginal tax rate of 91%. He used it to pay down the debt incurred from WW2. He also built out the IS highway system. And, I would argue, that the behemoth of an economy that he ushered in served to win the Cold War. It wasn't Reagan making speeches, it was Ike. 2/2

Keep in mind that Ike cut DOD spending by 30%. And that was in the middle of the Cold War, with 3 million Soviet troops in the field. That said, Ike stayed out wars, like Indochina, and he also did not go into Hungary in '56. Be like Ike. 1/2

Read Barbara Tuchman's 'The Zimmerman Telegram ' about the telegram from the German ambassador to Mexico. The German government wanted assistance invading the US. That telegram prompted the US to enter WW1. No end to stupid...

The next Democratic Party POTUS (2028) will, along with our European allies, bring an end to the war and usher in a Marshall Plan 2.0 that will not only assist in a rebuild, but make Ukraine the high tech, Silicon Valley of Europe. Hang in there..πŸ˜€πŸ˜€πŸ˜€

Mark Twain said that history doesn't repeat itself, but it does rhyme. 🀣 That said, if you want a good book that I think really captures where we are now, read Barbara Tuchman's "The March of Folly". Lots of stupid. Lol.

The generals in Mosul got a briefing from me on the supply chains daily. During the briefing, there was always comms chatter in the background. That is, until they went silent. The meeting stopped. We looked outside to find caissons carrying dead soldiers passing by. War is hell...End.

One of the many value adds of the GI Bill: for the 1st time, it created learning that focused on specialties, like marketing, finance, economics, et al. Those became transferable skills, separate from the company. That expertise allowed companies to further quantify risk.

Chris Murphy for POTUS; Big Gretch (Whitmer) for VPOTUS. Why? We need the management skills necessary to reconstruct the USG. Murphy knows foreign policy. Big Gretch knows domestic policy and should be almost a co-POTUS. It is akin to taking the USG out of a Chapter 11 bankruptcy reorganization.

2028 is a long way off, but if I had to do it now, I would pick Chris Murphy as POTUS & G. Whitmer as VPOTUS. Why? Murphy knows foreign policy. Whitmer would be a great manager of domestic policy, akin to a co-POTUS. We need those management skills bc the USG is essentially in Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

The recidivism rate (propensity to reoffend) for sexual offenders is much higher than most other offenders. People who commit crimes in general tend to age out, generally in their mid 20s. But not sexual offenders. They can't stop, which is why they are so dangerous.

Totally agree with consequences. That said, keep in mind that dozens of Nixon's goons went to prison: AG John Mitchell, Haldeman, Erlichmann, et al. But Nixon got a quid pro quo pardon. Trump will try to play the same game: stepping down in exchange for a pardon from Vance. That cannot stand, IMO...
