Alas, Peep will be shutting down on October 1. Thanks to everyone who tried it, jammed on new features, and bought into the idea. You can download an archive of your posts and uploaded images on the Account page. Reminders will be sent before shutdown to make sure everyone can grab their stuff. 🐤✌️

🎨 Introducing: pre-built themes! First up: “Quiet Thoughts”, a minimal theme made for blogging. Activate your new theme on the Style Settings view. More coming soon!

👀 You can now control whether you want to show all of your posts and replies on your profile, or just your posts – check the style view to toggle!

✏️ The advanced authoring view is available! Upgraded users can create longform posts with inline styling, links, and images.

🎨 Upgraded users can create their own Peep themes using the new HTML + CSS editor. A theme creation resource is coming soon too! 🆒

🫧 Surfacing from silent running to talk about some upcoming changes: Peep is becoming a more fully-fledged blogging platform! We’ll soon be launching fully customizable themes and a more robust authoring UI for upgraded users.

🍗 Small quality of life feature: all Peep profiles now have a built-in RSS feed. Just add ‘/rss’ to your profile URL and you’re RSSin’ with the best of them.

🔁 Want to see all your replies in one spot? Check peep.zone/replies.

🎛️ You can now choose whether a post can receive replies or not.

👩‍💻 You slinging some code? Enclose it in `<script>cool backticks</script>` (Markdown style) to write a code snippet.

☝️ We added more communicationability, a word that’s real and not made up: you can now reply to posts! Coming shortly: control over whether replies are allowed on a post-by-post basis.
