So, just to make sure that I understand the rules, the Bears and Bears fans get to make all the excuses in the world when it comes to explaining away today’s craptastic game; Caleb Williams didn’t play, Kyle Monangai didn’t play, some Bears on defense got hurt,

I am reminded of the fact that the Packers franchise was in financial distress early on in its history, and that no less than George Halas decided to bail the Packers out. Which goes to show that even George Halas wasn’t perfect.

Anyway, all day, every day, until the end of time itself and then, even after that, f*** the Green Bay Packers.

I’m just pointing out that if the shoe were on the other foot today—and if there were any justice in the world, it would be—

all sorts of Green Bay Packer players, coaches and fans would be claiming that any Packers loss was due to the fact that Mercury was in retrograde and that it had suffered an ACL tear while positioning itself thusly.

Vince Lombardi and Curly Lambeau and Ray Nitschke had inconveniently refused to come back from the dead in time for the game, and . . . and . . . and . . . etc.

Of course, and to answer my own snarky set of questions, these excuses cannot be employed, given that they are not, and never were, worth a damn. Football is a violent sport, injuries are part of the game, and even if players cannot play through certain injuries, teams are certainly expected to.

Right? I ask because *last* year, the Packers explained away *their* epic collapse in the second regular season game against the Bears by claiming that if Jordan Love hadn’t gotten hurt, the Packers would have won (never mind the fact that his replacement played better),

and they explained their epic collapse against the Bears in the playoff game by claiming that it was because *other* players got hurt too, and that they would have benefited if Love had gotten hurt again, and unfortunately, he wasn’t, and contrary to hopes and expectations,

a Chicago transplant who now lives in Anchorage (the one in Alaska) had the sniffles, and *all* of that can help explain away today’s loss.

All day, every day, until the end of time itself, and then, even after that: F*** the Green Bay Packers.
