Yesterday and a walk around the local I can't believe it's called a "city" and I find a new art gallery. Go in to enquire about displaying my artwork, she sees a book, says it's good and turns me down flat. Then I drop a few famous names and she then suggests I contact them and they'd be interested.

1986-1987 and a film is rented for one night because it has Harrison Ford in it. I've never forgotten the film and hunted for Mosquito Coast for well over a decade, then I discover a DVD and import it. It's a flipper with widescreen on one side and cropped on the other and it's VERY out of print.

As much as I enjoyed the new Resident Evil sequel and it definitely leans towards it's original Japanese name of "Biohazard" It's also very much a sequel in all but name to John Carpenter's The Thing.

I saw @stephenking.bsky.social #Sleepwalkers in the cinema thanks to finding a rare @fangoria.bsky.social issue in a UK newsagents but until two weeks ago I never knew there was a soundtrack album. With Enya's haunting Boadicea and Santo & Johnny's Sleepwalk I had to get it.

I bought both of these books under the phrase "Know your enemy." I'm currently reading @gilduran.com The Nerd Reich and both books have left me with the same question; why hasn't anyone said to these people "You're a looney!" and dangerous loonies at that.
