I like rocks. And rainy days, wood smoke, tomatoes in season, lovely smart kind people, driving vacations on blue highways and other things too.

I am frankly more concerned about the apathy of the American public and even more importantly the lack of leadership in the Democratic Party. This is not a dress rehearsal. Every single American must speak out against this Facist administration.

Minnesota National Guard members have arrived at a federal building and were directed to distribute donuts, coffee, and hot chocolate to anti-ICE protesters. Guard members were issued reflective vests so they would not be mistaken for federal agents.

The president had a MRI but won't say why. He had bruises on his hands but wouldn't say why. He just had an 'annual medical' even though he already had his annual medical. He got shot in the ear but has never released the medical records relating to it. How is any of this ok?

On this date, Matthew Shephard died 27 years ago. He was beaten, tortured, and left for dead on fence for being gay. Please keep him and his wonderful mother Judy in your thoughts. And let's all work for a world where such horrific things do not happen to anyone. ❤️🏳️‍🌈

Adelita Grijalva won her election 19 days ago and she still hasn’t been sworn in. The government has been shut down for 12 days with no end in sight. They can stall as long as they want but the Epstein files ain’t going away.

Stoke fear. Exploit desperation. Suspend the rule of law. Fan brutality. Every time the stronger brutalize the weak, it’s fundamentally the same playbook. Our duty is to stand up to brutality. Our moral obligation is to protect the vulnerable and hold the powerful accountable.

The return of Jimmy Kimmel and the caving of SInclair broadcasting are clear demonstrations that the Power of the People and the power of $ is an effective way to save our democracy (despite the fact that we are currently in a dicktatorship) We MUST stay engaged; informed and ready to fight.

Wounded Knee was a massacre of innocent people, including women and children. It was one of many atrocities committed by the United States against Native Americans. The heroes were those who fought against the US military. They deserve our honors. Not those who used Hotchkiss guns against children

Jimmy Kimmel and other late-night comedians have certainly said things about me that I found offensive, even outrageous. It never crossed my mind to call up the networks and say, "Hey, get rid of this guy." Because that's not how America works. play.prx.org/listen?ge=pr...

I plan to post this ABC News supercut video of Trump calling Harris and Democrats "fascists" (and "communists"!) everytime I see a Republican on TV whining about Trump being called a "fascist" by the left. Oh, the hypocrisy! Oh, the gaslighting!

People missing an important point about folks getting fired for whatever they said about Charlie Kirk: Americans are being conditioned to be snitches on their fellow citizens who don’t toe a party line on what is “allowed” to be expressed. And employers are going along. It’s the new secret police

It’s also worth noting that as soon as it became clear the Trump shooter had no real legible politics and certainly not from “the left” he completely vanished into anonymity. No one knows his name.

Is it just me or does this share a lot of commonalities with the attempted Trump assassination last summer? Maybe worth exploring those

That Pritzker press conference was... surreal, and I think marks a significant moment of escalation in the constitutional omni-crisis. This was the governor of a state saying plainly the Union itself is being torn apart and his state is being militarily invaded by an authoritarian regime.

I'm aware that the President likes to go on television and beg me to call him to ask for troops. I find it strange, as Chicago doesn't want troops. I also have experience asking him for assistance – just to have the rug pulled up from underneath me when execution meets reality.

Pritzker: "When did we become a country where it's ok for the US president to insist on national television that a state should call him to beg for anything? Especially something we don't want. Have we truly lost all sense of sanity in this nation that we treat this as normal?"

It’s outrageous that Sec. Kennedy is trying to fire the CDC Director — after only a few weeks on the job — for her commitment to public health & vaccines. The Sen. HELP Committee must hold a hearing with Kennedy & the CDC Director as soon as possible. Vaccines save lives. Period.
