Born the year WWII ended. Lived through an era of optimism when you could wake up in the morning and be hopeful about the day. Now saddened by the gratuitous acts of self harm inflicted upon future generations by the gross incompetence of our Politicians

🎯 by @ellabaron.bsky.social The abuse directed towards RNLI volunteers is horrendous. Solidarity with RNLI volunteers. They are doing incredible work.
The inadequates Kushner and Whitkoff were negotiating a nuclear deal with the Iranians in Pakistan when Netanyahu flew into the White House and left without fanfare and Trump ordered the attack on Iran while they were talking. Facts, truth, reality and evidence don’t figure in Trump’s fevered brain.
@cnn.com Watching Trump at the NATO summit in Ankara and I’m terrified. The man is completely insane, he is rambling and making totally ridiculous statements, claims and threatening the world using words that only a power drunk madman would use. Please America get rid of him.
Sir David Attenborough is a national hero 💚🌍 To celebrate his 100th birthday and all he’s done to inspire us to protect our planet, he should be honored with a permanent statue. Agree? Join me by signing @JohannaBaxter MP’s petition: you.38degrees.org.uk/petitions/a-...

Trump has no regard for international law - and openly admits so. We can't rely on Trump's America; we need closer relations with the EU. https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2026/jan/08/trump-power-international-law
@cnn.com Every Navy in the world decommissioned Battleships because in modern warfare they became known as the snipers or missile firers dream.
@cnn.com Why would Zalenskyy accept Putin/Trumps plan when the USA and signatories including Russia have completely and utterly reneged on the Budapest Memorandum 1994.

"One apparent constant in contemporary UK politics is Nigel Farage’s ability to mobilise a sense of grievance among those who regard themselves as English... His ability to drag the other parties onto his terrain is a classic success story of what political scientists call issue salience."

@cnn-news.bsky.social Why are CNN and other news outlets not reporting that there are significant numbers of MP's in the Israeli Knesset calling for the complete annihilation of all Palestinians saying that there are no innocent Palestinians and death is the only fitting punishment.
@wimbledonltc.bsky.social I'm saddened by the number of players Copying the Djokovic tactic of when momentum is going against them they call for a medical or other break and disrupt momentum. Djokovic has been doing it for years, now others are following. Legal now but Should be stopped.
@bbcnewsnight.bsky.social Sickened by the BBC Headline that UK has won because we will be spared from Trump’s steel tariffs. Capitulation to a bully, never before in my lifetime. Total humiliation. We should have told him to go to hell.
@garylinker.bsky.social Watched Match of the Day for the first time this evening. Simply because I think you are a thoroughly decent person.
@cnn.com Bridget Brink avoided the question re Allied response to Russian invasion. If we had told Putin 2014/2022 that one Russian military foot in Ukraine and we would unleash full force. If we had supplied Ukraine and not tied one hand back things would be different. We told Putin we are afraid
@maggiekat.bsky.social Intelligent people learn by listening, curiosity and enquiry. Average people learn from their life experiences. Stupid people have no need to learn because they know everything already. I think you are the former.
