I am so, so happy for him. Rooting for Francisco Lindor and wearing his jersey is a pleasure that I do not take for granted. I thought that there would never be a player as special to me as a Mets fan as David Wright, but I was wrong. Francisco Lindor is the best. An absolute gem.

It's funny because "but who will take care of you when you are old" is a very prevalent response I get when I tell people I don't want kids and when you say that to me, all I hear is that you see your children as an accessory of yourself instead of as separate human beings.

As one of the last people in my friend group to get married and one of the only ones without kids, I get the frustration. But you can just...throw a party without making it weird? My PhD graduation party was almost as big (if not bigger) than my wedding. Birthdays exist. Housewarmings exist.
