I've said it before, but like with Leontiel now, it almost feels like FromSoftware is actively counting on dataminers to look into the files and show this stuff. There's a weird elegance to it, honestly, where it lets them slip in details without needing to contrive a scenario to show them ingame.

while I was already planning on boycotting this game, this is important information for people who are still on the fence, and now upgrades this game to the category of 'I will explode you if you try to make me care about it, don't ever talk to me about this thing'
