Been out counting birds for the #birdlife #aussiebirdcount Wish they had an option for counting bats / flying foxes. I must have seen over 30 this afternoon. Good for rainbow lorikeets. I counted 72 going to roost, south to north. #birds

Possum Update: It has been a busy week but Chewie the brushtail #possum and her joey have been up in the eaves trays this week. I think they like a tin roof over their heads with all rain around this week. Enjoying a snack before heading out into the garden. #mammals

Possum Update: Life is pretty good here. Chewie the brushtail & joey have been in the far eaves tray every day this week. The joey is getting quite big now. They have had a snack & good out on secret #possum business. This brushy came along later. All good. #mammals

The Cazneaux Tree late yesterday - and a raven - can you see it? This tree was made famous by Harold Cazneaux who took a photo of it in 1937 that he titled 'The Spirit of Endurance'. It is a river red gum and is estimated to be 500 years old.
