The show became a success because of the crew involved and they get rewarded by all being fired/not renewed as production moves to Canada, where Canadians get cursed by being paid dirt and being yelled at to deliver the same quality for less money and most likely less time.

‘The Loud House’ received a last-minute renewal, Jessica Borutski, the show’s head director since Season 4, confirmed on a recent podcast. Production has moved from the U.S. to Canada, with the entire production crew replaced while the voice cast remains.

the newest episode of Critical Role had a player forget the exact sequence of events they needed to make happen, which was both very much in character AND an absolute riot that everyone leaned into if that had happened in my bad DnD campaign, the DM would have lectured us and ragequit contrast 🙏🌈

When trans creators are subtle, people dismiss the trans subtext as “headcanon.” When trans creators are loud and proud, people call it “obnoxious” and “cringe.” They just don’t want us to be represented in media at all. Because they don’t want us to exist at all.

Mass Effect was my ultimate white whale, my all-time dream project. For the last couple years I'd been in discussion w/ BioWare & EA to take on the project & as part of that I wrote close to 20 minutes of music to explore where the franchise can go next, may as well share it!

I’m not a political journalist, so was gladly surprised at the community I found here last night. To Americans anxious about the upcoming elections, a key thing we learned in Brazil that might help you: DO NOT engage with the far-right online. Don’t share rage bait. Amplify your people. Ignore them.

if you started reading Phantomarine and didn't realize by page 20 that divine pettiness will be baked into every major facet of the story, I don't know what to say

AI woman in spandex with too big a mouth: I CAn'T fINd the CaTs ☹️☹️☹️☹️☹️ AI man who looks like every man blended together: silly woman, there's one cat per color

My theater had only a couple showtimes and the one I attended was quite full. I believe in it. It will take time but I believe.

‘Wildwood’ had the year’s most-watched trailers, reaching 90M views and surpassing ‘Avengers: Doomsday.’ The film opened to $11M at the domestic box office.

IT'S OFFICIAL FOR THE FIRST TIME IN 93 YEARS, THE B.C. CONSERVATIVE PARTY WILL LEAD THIS PROVINCE CBC IS PROJECTING A MAJORITY GOVERNMENT LORNE DOERKSON GOES FROM AN UNKNOWN MLA TO THE NEXT PREMIER OF BRITISH COLUMBIA IN FIVE WEEKS

it's not the most emotional nor the tightest story of the Laika films, I think Paranorman still hits the hardest by far but the moments that shine, shine BRIGHT and I laughed a surprising amount too bottom line: if you want your face melted off with incredible animation, you deserve to see it

It’s a more personal one, but a month after I was starting treatment for possible lupus in 2011, the first lupus treatment in decades was approved by the FDA. I thought that was pretty neat. It was a beacon at the time and I never want to forget it.

Social media loves talking about how everything is getting worse. But what’s something that you’ve seen get _better_ in your lifetime?

I know that it just comes down to personal taste, but it still always bums me out to hear ppl won't give my comics a chance because they're not in colour 😔 Black and White comics are cool I promise

apparently discourse on the other site is getting insane? but I am sitting here in my oasis, thriving and being nourished I am so glad it bumped me out of my account, I’m not diving back in

I was so worried that Seven Havens would descend into the sparky-sparky-boom-man style humor that we've seen from other Avatar-inspired shows but this is already feels more mature than both AtLA AND Korra somehow and I don't mean mature as in 'adult' - it just feels really thoughtful and trusting

if there’s one thing modern audiences hate, it’s well actually it’s three things 1) waiting for answers 2) complex, ambiguous emotions 3) children I guess it’s inevitable but damn what are we doing here

I know it’s sorta cheesy but someone posted this from Paris on Reddit and I felt this immediate rush of hope

It's one thing to find out that all your favorite comic creators all follow each other, and read each other's stuff. But it's another thing to find out that they, and the right* readers, are all in the same cult, and it's lead by a death** god, and it's a fish***.
