Back in 2018, my new drug was putting that sexy saxophone crescendo from "Baker Street" over highlights. Time to bring my favorites here. 🎷 Sound ON. 🔊 Exhibit A: Wayne Rooney to Acosta (2018)

I’m a highly superstitious sports follower – follow traditions closely, respect jinxes, speak to dead relatives during games, etc. If I knew dark arts I would use them. So whatever comes of this…I’m interested.

BREAKING: The NWSL and NWSLPA have settled several grievances, including the High Impact Player rule. The criteria is wiped (still 12% cap charge). ANY player can be HIP. Also settled: Other Rodman grievance, footwear grievance. Greater $ transparency reporting now required. More on @espn.com:

Not that it is a big surprise, but James Dolan is the biggest piece of shit out there. I’m not going to begrudge Knicks fans or players but that guy deserves that team to never win another fucking thing again.

#FIFA has officially awarded the 2028 Women's Club World Cup to the United States. The tournament will run January 5-30, 2028. #NWSL #USLSL

I like the idea of a Club World Cup, I think I like it better on the women's side which is less infested by fixture congestion and can benefit more from the North American teams intermingling with the Euro teams.

NEWS: FIFA confirms USA will host the first Women's Club World Cup in 2028 (no cities confirmed) FIFA also announces that each 2027 World Cup participant will receive $2.5M in preparation money, the same as the 2026 Men's World Cup

I have found, and was told my a customer service rep later, that if you swear at them (I feel “I need a motherfucking REPRENTATIVE RIGHT NOW” is both direct and expresses my internal rage the best), it cuts through the chicanery of bot handoffs.

I generally do not think I’m an angry person, but the level of rage I feel when being passed from a clanker to another clanker after requesting a representative has my questioning things

I hope folks are marveling at the repairs to Tropicana Field and thinking “Kudos to the City of St. Pete for getting this done so quickly. This is why we need capable local budgets and why I’ll vote No on Amendment 3” www.wusf.org/sports/2025-...

What an exclamation point this was to lock down the Players’ Shield last night

Nicholas Murray@njemurray.bsky.social

Just a superb strike by Cruz to put the @tampabayrowdies.bsky.social ahead late against Detroit City. They're minutes away from the second #USL-C Players' Shield in club history.
