It’s 2026 and 60% of the economy is Enron now. Governments are investing in Enron to allow them to do bigger Enrons. It’s Enron all the way down.

Sometimes it makes me laugh so much that we know exactly how to stop the impending climate collapse that will wreck current human society but we aren’t allowed to do it because some very rich people might not make as much money. lol. Lmao even.

I’m Andy Burnham and we need to ban disposable barbecues and allow oil drilling in the North Sea. The problems are bad but their causes … their causes are very good

AI industry sold a lie, investors, business and governments ate it up because they all dream of nothing more than increasing the profits for the capitalist class. Trillions of dollars burned chasing a dream of an actual AI that will never actually happen. Let it die.

Until the USA prove that they can be trusted, they need to have a list of officially acceptable names that they can use for their babies.

Can’t watch my TV because my remote control wants to install a security update but can’t properly connect. What a fucking world.

I’ve been alive long enough to understand that the socialist utopia is never coming, the best you can hope for is a non-ideological centrist to delay the next round of austerity. When you get said centrist and you don’t want them, enjoy your Reformy dessert.

Kyle: ".. hope & optimism.. challenges.. opportunities.. challenges families face.. urgency.." How about saying one thing, just one thing, that you'll do today that'll materially improve peoples lives tomorrow. Heres one idea. You could announce you're making all buses free

I am going to keep sending Wes Streeting screenshots of the insane Nazi palantir manifesto on every platform until he blocks me or cancels their contracts

“If you help me because leader of the party and then prime minister by using sleazy connections gained though friendship with some of the worlds richest, most evil, men, I’ll find you and your protégés a series of cushy jobs. This is a fool proof plan that can’t go wrong.”

Because it’s classed as industrial action in the UK. your union can tell you work to rule unless the ballot the workplace in an expensive and time consuming official ballot. But a union can and will protect you if you just decide not to do anything that isn’t expressly in your contract independently

Making Warhammer scenery from rubbish and scraps and bits from your boxes is the new cool thing all the kids are doing. Scrapmaxxing. My terrain has totally garbage mogged you

The real lesson of the last few years has been that international law doesn’t exist in any meaningful capacity, stunning how throughly dismantled the idea of consequences for warcrimes has become in so short a time.

In a sane world, every nation on the planet would have declared America a rogue state and embargo’d the shit out of them at the very least after the last few days. Instead most won’t even threaten it.

The only way that the US can possibly defeat Iran in a way is by using nukes. Trump and his team of cretins have been totally outplayed by a regime that understands strategy. Lucky for the world, Trump is too much of a coward to fire the nukes so he’ll have to just accept being a failure.

People are increasingly feeling desperate in the UK so big changes to political systems is more and more appealing, people who have less to lose are more likely to risk tearing the whole thing down. Not sure why Starmer et al can’t understand this very simple historical reality.

there are a lot of people working in the government right now who want to intentionally trigger an apocalypse to create the conditions for the return of jesus christ and I know how crazy that sounds but its absolutely true

Hard to explain to the youngsters but there was a time in the 90s for a bit where it briefly seemed that the world might start to get better. Just kidding. I thought that because I was a child and didn’t really know about all the horrors.
